when to start planning fo jeju island trip?

hey everyone! im in korea from 30th september to 13th october this year and and Im so excited!!

I would love to go to Jeju for a couple of days to make a bicycle tour around the island (because i cannot rent a car and i really like biking :))

ill arrive and depart from seoul incheon airport and since i havent booked anything else yet im quite flexible.

my problem is, i dont know when its "safe" to book a flight to jeju because im scared that ill arrive during a time where its really rainy/bad weather in general or when it is really packed. i also dont know how fast the prices for hostels, flights and ferries spike/sell out.

when did you decide on the dates of traveling to jeju? was it spontaneous, or weeks/months in advance? is there any rule of thumb?

thank you

where to find yurts

hello everyone, im a solo traveller arrviving at almaty in late august. i am starting a language course in the beginning of september and i am looking forward to spending a few days in the area around almaty and bishkek. I am looking for an "authentic" yurt stay, just for stargazing, reading and admiring the nature.

so far, i did not really find any website which lets you get in contact witch people who manage the yurts, and i can imagine its hard to find some of them on the internet.

do you have any tips for booking some nights in a yurt in advance and which areas are typically best to stay in?

best wishes from germany!!

Erfahrung mit Amboss Ankiphil für die Vorklinik Physikumsvorbereitung

hallo zusammen,

how slow can korday border station get?

I want to go from bishkek almaty to catch a flight at 23:40. i start from bishkek at 13:00.
i feel like 10h+ could be enough for the journey but i am scared that the border control takes up too much time. does it sometimes jam up for multiple hours or it it usually not that busy?
Also is it safe to take a private yandex taxi to the border station or is a bus better/faster?
help/insights would be appreciated!
enjoy your day :)

T’way Air (Bishkek to Seoul) - „only 3 seats left“ vs empty seat map. Anyone know how they manage their fares?

Hey everyone,
I’ve been watching a direct flight from Bishkek (FRU) to Seoul (ICN) with T'way Air for October. I've been tracking it for about 3 weeks now and the price hasn't changed at all, but it’s a bit higher than I'd like to pay. Since they're the only airline doing this direct route, I don't have many other options.
The website currently says Only 3 seats left at this price."
I figured it was just artificial scarcity to get me to buy quickly, so I tested it by trying to book for 4 passengers. It actually showed up as Sold Out" for 4 people, which made me think the warning might be real.
However, when I go through the booking process for one person and look at the actual seat selection map, the plane is almost entirely empty.
I know nobody can predict if the price will drop, but I'm just trying to understand the logic here. Does T'way just hold back blocks of seats for tour agencies who haven't assigned their seats yet? Or do they just completely shut off the cheaper fare buckets early on this route, even if the plane is empty?
If anyone has experience flying T'way or knows how they typically handle these low-frequency routes, I'd really appreciate the insight. Trying to decide if it's worth waiting another month or if I should just lock it in now.
Thanks!
