‘Two guards at Peggys Cove are being commended for their quick actions. Amandeep Singh and Prabhleen Singh responded to the Peggys Cove Black Rocks area on May 23. Amandeep performed CPR on an unconscious 16-year-old, helping restore the youth’s breathing with support from a nurse. Prabhleen assisted at the scene until emergency services arrived. Amandeep said first aid and CPR training gave them the confidence to act quickly, noting emergencies can happen at any time. The guards at the famous lighthouse help keep visitors safe through education, communication and on-site intervention.’
