Rubio Suggests U.S. Return to Global Vaccine Program in Rebuke of Kennedy

Not sure about how important these news could be for moderna but I didn't see coming....

https://www.nytimes.com/2026/06/02/us/politics/rubio-kennedy-vaccines-gavi.html

But Mr. Rubio suggested in pointed testimony that he was reclaiming control of the U.S. relationship with Gavi, which has historically been managed by the State Department.

The State Department is “going to re-engage on the issue of Gavi,” Mr. Rubio told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. He said that the department was not going to “yank” the matter from Mr. Kennedy, a longtime vaccine skeptic, or ignore “his points of view.” But he said that a few weeks ago, he had made the decision to resume management of the relationship.

CEPI fast-tracks three Bundibugyo ebolavirus vaccine candidates

CEPI will invest in a portfolio of candidates under development from longstanding partners with proven capabilities. These include candidates developed by IAVI; Moderna; and the University of Oxford, which will be manufactured at the Serum Institute of India (SII).

Under the agreement, CEPI has committed up to US $50 million to support preclinical development and Phase 1 clinical testing of Moderna's investigational BDBV vaccine candidate. The funding will also support parallel manufacturing activities, enabling doses to be produced while clinical evaluation is underway and positioning the program to rapidly advance into large-scale Phase 2/3 trials should the Phase 1 safety and immunogenicity data support further development.

UBS reiterates Moderna stock rating on melanoma trial catalyst

Nothing new but very Interesting information....

https://www.investing.com/news/analyst-ratings/ubs-reiterates-moderna-stock-rating-on-melanoma-trial-catalyst-93CH-4710209

The firm cited the company’s Phase III INT adjuvant melanoma interim analysis as a major catalyst for 2026. Moderna has guided the interim analysis to occur in 2026, with UBS estimating a potential timeframe around October or November.

UBS assigned a probability of success above 50% for the interim analysis. The firm noted the stock could move 25% to 50% higher if the interim analysis meets its endpoint.

The firm acknowledged a scenario where the study does not stop for interim analysis and would require waiting for the final analysis. UBS stated this could occur if more time is needed for the survival curves to separate.
