Update to: HDFC Life Scam

Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/IndiaFinance/s/wvxziIllLz

So he has been apologizing since I've filed the complaint and company senior's also has informed me that actions have been taken against him. Yes I do not believe them cause why should anyone. Anyway, he just called again and informed (along with his seniors) me that he is to lose his job and everything if I do not take back my complaint. I decided to do so cause I do not wish to permanently damage anyone's life. But also won't do it unless I get an official solution.

If anyone has any suggestion or remark please do give.

HDFC Life scam selling policy

So a Manager position employee who was pitching me the policy brought me to the payment page without sharing with me the policy papers and documents, which I had requested to go through before taking the policy. Upon denying paying unless checking everything to go through, he got aggressive. But I mentioned I only need 1-2 hours, not asking for days, he agreed. After an hour (before the decided time, 5:15 p.m.), he started texting. After a few minutes, he called, which I could not pick up as I was in a g-meet at my office. Afterwards, he started abusing me on WhatsApp and started using low, insulting, and dehumanizing words. After a few minutes, he deleted those messages, but I later not so bad but bas still in screenshots.

Stating he has been working for 10+ years, this was the behaviour of a Manager position employee. Getting aggressive with customers when asking to be sure. Not to mention not providing the asked things before taking payment, which by the way is double the amount discussed due to RBI guidelines (I do not take him wrong for this as it is a govt. rule regulation whatnot, but it should be informed before taking to the payment gateway).

I filed a Cyber Crime report on this, which got accepted, and I received the Malviya Nagar Police number to take it forward. However, I did not go through thinking about this matter thoroughly. Even after feeling a scam, I thought the situation was a bit misunderstood due to a poor employee at a company like HDFC Life. However, HE STAETED ABUSING AGAIN IN THE MORNING (this time I made sure to take a screenshot) and calling via another employee's number. Only upon realizing I would not back out, he started apologizing; he was still making it a mistake of mine during the call. I am sure he has conducted this behavior 100+ times, but since this time it escalated, he has come to apologize.

Yesterday, after this incident, I asked for some sort of official proof of an action that was taken by HDFC Life, which I did not receive. It was clearly discussed on the call with a senior who informed me about the actions taken against him, but I have still received no confirmation of it by any means, such as email. I will be taking this forward to any extent required legally and will not be satisfied with any official complaint or result within HDFC Life.
