masseter botox (xeomin) not working at all after 6 weeks??

hi guys! i got masseter botox with xeomin on september 1st, around 30 units per side. i went back for a top-up around 16 days later and got another 12 units per side, so around 42 units per side (84 units total).

it’s now october 12th and i’m genuinely seeing absolutely no difference 😭 my masseters look just as bulky as before, i’m still clenching my jaw a lot, and i haven’t noticed any reduction in muscle activity.

the thing is, this isn’t normal for me. i’ve had masseter botox before and i would usually start noticing the effects within a couple of weeks, so i’m confused as to why this time it seems to have done literally nothing.

it’s been around 6 weeks since my initial treatment and almost 4 weeks since my top-up, and i honestly can’t tell that i’ve had anything done.

has anyone else experienced this with xeomin specifically? did it eventually start working, or did you end up switching brands? i’ve also seen people talk about botox resistance, which has made me a bit worried, but i’ve never had this issue before.

would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s experienced something similar, especially if you had no effect on both clenching and masseter slimming!

I'm 20 and I feel like I'm wasting my life

I'm 20 years old and I feel like I'm wasting my life.

Most days I stay in bed all day and just watch time pass. I sleep at weird hours and sometimes don't even wake up until 5 p.m. Today I missed a doctor's appointment because I was so tired and unmotivated that I couldn't get myself to go. The worst part is that this isn't a one time thing, it happens a lot more often than I'd like to admit.

Most of my day is spent doomscrolling on tiktok or sitting on my pc. The thing is, I don't even enjoy it most of the time. I'm not doing it because it's fun anymore. I'm doing it because I don't know what else to do with myself.

Whenever I try to pick up a hobby or learn something new, I lose interest so fast. I start out wanting to change and be productive, but I can't seem to stick with anything. Then I end up feeling even worse because it feels like I can't commit to anything or accomplish anything.

I'm constantly bored, but at the same time I don't have the energy or motivation to do anything. I also have really bad anxiety about going outside, which makes everything even harder.

I don't really have anyone. I barely have family around me, and the family I do have struggles with their own mental health, so it's not like I can just ask someone to go for a walk with me or help me get out of the house. Most of the time I feel like I'm completely on my own.

What hurts the most is that I want more from my life. I want friends. I want a big friend group. I want to go out and do things that other people my age seem to be doing. I want memories, experiences, and a life that feels worth living. Instead, I feel stuck in the same cycle every day.

I know I need a change, but I honestly don't know where to start. Everything feels overwhelming, and even small things feel difficult right now.
