Thank you for all the messages and support. After a week off, I’m unfortunately back in hospital again.

For those who don’t know, I was involved in a crash in my second race tonight. The track was tricky, and while leading on the last lap I hit a hole and ended up in the air fence.

I was taken to Poole Hospital with chest and back pain. Scans have shown I have a punctured lung, blood on the lung, and spasms in my back causing quite a bit of discomfort.

After four seasons racing in the league and never missing a match, I’m extremely disappointed with how the past week has gone. But I’ll do everything possible to recover properly and be fit again for the next meeting but I will return to racing when I believe I will be fit to do so.

Once again, I can’t thank Ian and Nicola Bell enough. They have gone above and beyond to support me, especially tonight at the hospital and last week with my eye injury. I’m very lucky and proud to have them as a friend.

Fraser Bowes has been taken to Hospital after crashing in the Poole V Oxford match. No injuries are known at this time, match on hold waiting for Ambulance to return for meeting to continue.

Happy birthday too me !

It could have been worse so I am grateful for that. But

I am absolutely devastated. I truly felt like I was entering my prime, probably enjoying speedway more than I have since I was 16. Thank you to my team, my clubs, my sponsors and everyone who has supported mr through thick and thin. Thank you for all the messages, it means a lot but I am really struggling to read them at the moment . I’ll keep you all updated when I have some news but for now I’m am in being treated well in Denmark.

I have a Broken femur and a compressed vertebrae in my back, I knew streight away that I broke my leg but thankfully it’s a cleaner brake than last time

I am gutted to not be riding for my Clubs, below is the Reason for Cooper missing fixtures this week.

At Oxford on Wednesday 13th May despite Cooper being involved in 2 incidents on track, he continued to ride and was not withdrawn from the meeting or received any medical documentation from the Oxford medical team.

The next day the adrenaline from the previous evening had gone and Cooper had a badly swollen hand and was in a lot of pain.

Despite getting physio treatment, laser treatment and red light therapy friday morning it was clear that he would be not fit to compete for Poole at Redcar that evening as he had no grip in his hand and we regrettably inform Poole we would have to withdraw from this fixture on medical advice.

SCB Regulation 010.5 g) quotes-

If a rider has not declared illness or injury to the referee before the closure of the meeting as per the meeting report, then subsequently provides a medical certificate, they will receive a mandatory 7 day suspension of their SCB Registration.

So having not received any medical documentation from Oxford on the Wednesday and then unfortunately not being able to compete at Redcar on Friday, Cooper has had his SCB Registration suspended for a period of 7 days, therefore although by Monday he would have been fit to ride for Kings Lynn and back at Poole on Wednesday it is unfortunately out of the control of Cooper that he has been suspended and not eligible to ride for both his clubs this week, as per the SCB Regulations.

Swedish star Fredrik Lindgren was taken to hospital for checks after crashing out of Polish club Lublin’s 46-44 loss away to Leszno in the PGE Ekstraliga on Sunday.

Lindgren was battling Leszno’s Aussie racer Keynan Rew for third place in heat three, when he ran out of room, hit the home-straight fence and was thrown over his handlebars.
