Help

My 18yr old cat was diagnosed with CKD in April. She’s getting subQ everyday and on Hills kidney diet kibbles. She’s hates the kidney diet wet food Hills/RC. My mom gives her steamed fish sometimes. And she also gets tuna paste with kidney support which she loves. She’s pretty active and loves going for walks at night with me. In August she had blood test and vet said her kidney isn’t functioning and “she could go anytime” and to spend time with her. My heart sank when i heard those words. Then as long as she’s still eating and drinking and active, i’m happy. Then last week she started to pee in bed - something she has never done before. Then again it’s only a couple of times. But the last couple of days she’s barely eating.

Called the vet and i asked for anti nausea meds and vet said they have anti nausea shots (forgot the name but it’s not ondansetron as they don’t have that) and b12 to see if it would help her. Vet said ok. So we are going to the vet Monday. We spoke on Saturday btw.

After the call, i found ondansetron given the previous vet (when she was diagnosed in April) so i thought i give her some to see if it helps. I gave her half the prescribed amount. It got her to lick a few mouthful of tuna and start drinking water. Not enough but better than nothing. My mom gave her steamed fish with some broth and she drinks up the broth. But she’s still not eating the Hills kidney diet kibbles that she likes.

She’s so skinny now and it breaks my heart to see her like this. Despite of all these, she’s still walking around the house and wants to go outside for walks. She still jumps although not as steady. She’s been with us since the day she’s born and this is the first time she’s sick. I’ve been crying everyday I don’t want to see her suffer but i don’t want to miss out anything i could try to help her before giving up. Please let me know. I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
