Image 1 — Remember when people were doomposting about building characters being too expensive in Endfield? Meanwhile as f2p I am swimming in resources even though I'm building most of the characters I have - I will probably never run out

The problem with giving new players advice for 400/425 D-Zone

It's half anni time. If you ever thought about making guides, now is the time!
Looking through some of the guides we have out there though I noticed a heavy focus on 400/425 D-Zone and I think it's a problem.
We know from Light himself (the producer of the game) that almost no one plays hard mode. The amount of people who actually clear and bother with hard mode is a small minority. Hence why they will probably never release madness mode (would be a waste of resources that no one cares about). And if you have played other gacha games before you should know that the overwhelming majority of a gacha player base is very casual. It's a lot about the collecting aspect of the gacha and progression as in leveling up your favorite characters etc.
It's safe to say that the amount of people that bother with 400+ D-Zone regularly (so not just once for the achievemnt) is also a small minority.

So why can advice that heavily emphasizes on 400+ D-Zone be bad?
Simply because a lot of new players will never reach that point. They will quit long before their account is old enough especially if the game seems too complicated and guides tell them to focus on too many things that are not even important to them in the near future. If you give a new player a massive list of things to do and tell them that they will brick their account if they diverge at all it will lead to frustration and a bad experience. I'm not saying that all long term advice is bad. It's definitely worth a mention at the very least. But advice focused on clearing normal stages, events and maybe Alert 1-3 of D-Zone is probably a lot more helpful for newer players. And for sure it's gonna be a lot more motivating.

You don't introduce someone to a new sport by treating them like a future pro athlete. You ease them in and give them easy to understand advice and room for error. Don't complicate things.
