I see a lot of people seeking help with money and I am not here to downplay anyone else's situation. I currently am going through a crisis myself, my mother passed unexpectedly in an accident and did not have her affairs in order.. (She was young and did not have a husband, my father has a traumatic brain injury following a motorcycle accident) So I gladly am stepping up to make sure she gets a quiet burial. The only issue is I was not prepared financially to pay for a funeral. I work full time and have some money but I am trying to see if anyone in this community would be willing to help me. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't do this but I can offer pics, whatever. I am young and trying to pay for a funeral so most things are up for grabs.

Martin Scorsese never disappoints!

I’ve always been a fan of the way Martin Scorsese puts his own twist on everything he touches, but Cape Fear is on another level!

What I love about Scorsese is his visual style:

The dramatic lighting, the shadows, the camera movements, the symbolism—it all makes each episode feel almost like a fever dream. He takes this beautiful coastal setting and somehow makes it feel claustrophobic and threatening

Robert De Niro as Max Cady is absolutely terrifying because Scorsese doesn’t make him feel like some mindless villain. He’s intelligent, calculated, charismatic, theatrical, and completely unhinged. You’re constantly uncomfortable because you never know exactly what he’s going to do next.

What do you guys think?

Med-Friendly Psychiatrists in NC 2026

Does anyone have recommendations for a psychiatrist in North Carolina (telehealth or in-person) who treats both anxiety and ADHD?

I have a long history of formal testing, documented diagnoses, and medications that have worked well for me. I've always taken my medications responsibly. Unfortunately, I've had a hard time finding a provider who is willing to review my history instead of making me start over with multiple medications that haven't worked in the past. My current provider in Winston charges $220 per visit, and I have to pay out of pocket for my medications even though I have insurance.

If you've had a positive experience with a provider who is compassionate, listens, and accepts insurance (especially Medicaid), I'd really appreciate any recommendations.
