Noobie Luck strikes again! New to Naruto Card Collecting got lucky would love some guidance
Today my friend sent me a Sasuke UR alt art that looked incredible, and he told me he pulled it from a Naruto pack at Best Buy. I decided to make a run to see if I could find some Pokémon packs and grab a few of these Naruto packs to try out.
They were completely out of Pokémon, but they did have a stack of Naruto sleeves and bundles. I went to buy 10 sleeves and 2 bundles, but the cashier let me know there’s a strict limit of 1 bundle and 4 sleeves per person. I honestly thought those limits only applied to Pokémon and sports cards, but I guess they are doing it for everything now! Thankfully, an awesome fellow collector noticed I was just trying to grab a few extra and offered to buy some on my behalf, so I still ended up leaving with 8 sleeves and 2 bundles. Then ran to target to see if they had and sure they did, so I grabbed some more, after driving around for like an hour ended with 18 sleeves and 2 bundles so 28 packs total plus the promos… I know who buys 28 packs of something they never opened? Me that’s who 😂
Long story short, I’m officially hooked. The cards are beautiful and I love the scenes they chose. Honestly I preferred the Art on the SSRs better than URs the lenticular cards are crazy good! And signed cards look like something I’d hang on my wall! But of course, I ended up hitting that classic newbie first-rip luck. I pulled a card and was literally about to hand it to my kid to play with, but I happened to catch a glimpse of a gold number on the back. Having collected for a long time, I instantly realized it was serialized and actually something special.
Since I’m totally new to this specific card game and the information online is kind of all over the place, could anyone enlighten me on what I actually pulled here? I'd really appreciate the help! Also where could I go for trading and buying singles of these? I notice you can complete entire scenes from the Anime and almost everything seems to connect. But I know better than to keep ripping chasing anything, knowing the next 50 packs will be duds 🤣
