New Years in Rio

I’m visiting Rio for New Years and people keep talking to me about phone theft. I’ve been to Italy and England, where pick pockets are fairly common, but how much worse is it in Rio?

Struggling with mental health

I’m really struggling lately with my mental health. I got surgery for my endometriosis in February 2024 (I also had one ovary and fallopian tube removed) and got on the Annovera ring birth control to help manage it in April 2024. I kept this birth control until June 2026 but sometimes had unusual bleeding patterns and ended up getting off of it because I would have my period for two weeks. I was off birth control for five weeks and just got the Mirena IUD three weeks ago. I’ve been bleeding for 10 days and now people are telling me it can sometimes last 3-6 months.

I’m crying every day because I’m just so upset and tired of dealing with this. I regret getting the IUD and if I could take it out myself, I would. I don’t know what to do anymore.

How long will I bleed for?

I got my Mirena inserted on July 22nd, everything was fine until I started getting cramps August 1st then I started bleeding on August 4th. The bleeding still hasn’t stopped. It’s been 10 days and I’m getting really frustrated because most people I know had their periods stop quickly. What experiences has everyone had?
I also have endometriosis, if that changes anything

Early period/intense pain

I had my IUD inserted right after my period ended on July 22nd and everything was pretty fine until August 1st when I started getting really intense pain. I started my period a couple days later on August 4th and it’s been a pretty heavy period and was a week early. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel like it’s not getting any lighter as the week goes on either
