Now that the I Want to Believe Director’s Cut has been released, I just rewatched the movie and I have QUESTIONS (again).

I’m looking for fanfic that actually gives the storyline more meaning, especially when it comes to Mulder and Scully and their relationship.

Basically, does anyone have a good IWTB fix-it fic? Something that expands on what happened between them, fills in the gaps, or just makes the whole movie feel more emotionally coherent.
MSR obviously welcome. Missing scenes, post-IWTB, canon divergence, complete rewrites, anything goes.
And angst very much welcomed.

I’m curious how everyone keeps track of the fanfics they’ve read. Is there a tool or app that works across AO3 and other fanfiction websites? I’d love something that lets me organize, rate, and keep a reading history in one place.
