RGB Camera

I know that a developer has made VertoXR, but at this point why did Viture include a non working RGB camera on the Beast if they weren't going to enable it with all the advance features that they said it was going to have. Is it that hard to enable it? Will it ever be? Who knows!..... At 5-600$ for the Beast they could have just added built in 3dof into the Pro2 if we are just paying for screen size, FOV, and a camera that's not working. Still hopeful though 🙂

Edit: And I just thought about it 🤔 you get a larger screen size and fov you have to get prescription lens that's an extra $100! You get the smaller screen size and fov in the Pro 2 or the Luma Ultra(You can catch the Luma on sale lower than the beast) they both come with diopters, make it make sense!

Smart Glasses Audio Concentrators Are a Game Changer

I learned about these from a post last week and I had to pick them up. I don't have a lot of complaints with the Harman speakers. I like that they are loud and the sound drops off so everybody doesn't hear what I'm listening to, and I can still listen to the world around me and know what's going on.

A lot of times when I'm watching movies or lying down, I want to feel like I'm in a movie theater. I toss and turn a lot, so the only time I could get that feel before was when I had one earbud in (I don't wear two because I still want to hear the world) or when my ear was pressed down into the pillow—that's when it's the loudest.

With these concentrators though, it up the ante 10x's! The audio feels super surround and "LOUD"—just like I had on a pair of earbuds or headphones, but I can still hear the real world. Man, these things are awesome!

Now that Viture added Spatial Audio to the Beast glasses, I think that was a great addition, but it does take away some of the volume when you turn spatial on. With these concentrators, you recover that volume and some, you feel like you're in a Dolby Atmos/IMAX theater. Normal and Spatial Audio both have their uses for certain movies or games, but with these concentrators, you really get the best of both worlds. 13$ Amazon

Blurry Edges

With the Beast main issue with the blurry edges, I just wanted to know how the lens affect your vision with the blurriness. Is it your right or left side of the screen that's blurry or is it both sides that are blurry? My right side is a little blurry, I have to push my frame in on that side then it comes in clear but those eyeglasses straps seem to do the trick keeping them tight on that side. I just. wanted to know if the blurriness on the affects everyone's eyes different on the screen.

The Black Screen, Only Volume /No Volume Fix

If you connect your glasses to your phone, the screen darks out, and you only have volume or no volume at all only transmittance, try changing the refresh rate and resolution from 1200p/120Hz to 1080p/60Hz. This was the only thing that worked for me.

I order to do so I had to first plugged my glasses into another device like my inAir Pod, and I got a screen, they worked. So then I pressed the main menu button on the arm of the glasses to get to the section that changes resolution and refresh rate back down to 1080p/60Hz.

The screen is black because your phone and glasses handshake isn't working together meaning you can't see the settings menu on your phone to change it! You have to plug the glasses into another device (like the inAir Pod or Legion Go) first just so you can actually see the menu and toggle the setting. What if you don't have another device? Then you’re just chet out of luck! 🤷🏾‍♂️

Try it out, let me know if it works in the comments, or tell me if you done anything else to fix this problem!

Transmittance In Light Environments

I’m not sure whether to call this a complaint or just an area where Viture could improve the transmittance, but here's another experience.

I’m still fairly new to the XR world, but I’ve been using my Beast glasses more and more every day, including out in public. Right now, I’m at a building I visit frequently where I have about an hour or two to use them, and it’s a very bright, well-lit space.

Today, while using the transmittance feature, I noticed a dark, curved streak going across the top right side of the lens( I looked up and understand why it does this.) At first, I thought it was my locs falling in front of my face, but when I checked, my hair was completely out of the way. I took the glasses off to examine them, worrying they might be broken or cracked, but physically they were in perfect shape. As I pressed the transmittance button, I realized that’s just how the tint sweeps down to darken the lens—it comes in from the top right, creating that dark curved boundary. It reminded me of being at the optometrist during a refraction test when they flip a new lens down on the phoropter. It’s just one of those things that becomes annoying once you’re used to your glasses and know it’s there.

You won’t notice it if the transmittance is set all the way to clear or all the way to dark. You only see it when you adjust it somewhere in the middle to boost screen brightness in a bright room and paying close attention. I haven’t heard anyone else mention this yet, so I’m not sure if that curve is standard across all XR glasses or unique to the Beast, but it’s definitely an area for potential improvement. If it’s something that could ever be smoothed out through an update, that would be awesome!

I also wanted to touch on the common complaint that the Beast’s color saturation looks really dull in bright rooms. I have to agree, it really sucks in those conditions, and I wish there were a way to watch content in a bright room with full screen brightness without having to adjust the transmittance at all.

That being said, it’s great that once you set the transmittance to medium or dark, the screen becomes plenty bright while still allowing you to stay aware of your surroundings. So if anyone is hesitating to buy the Beast because of the washed-out colors in bright light, I still think you’ll enjoy them. You can darken the lens as much as you need to get a vibrant screen, and when you turn your head, the room brightens right back up anyway.

Screen Positioning

@INAIR One reason why I bought this inair pod is because of the 6dof and instant 2D to 3D. I like this device very much w/my Beast glasses. The second reason why is so that while lying down I should be able to recenter the screen however my head is positioned if I'm sitting up like I'm watching regular TV, the screen is already positioned horizontally but if I'm lying down and my head is sideways or on an angle I should be able to reset the screen diagonally in the angle of how ever the glasses are adjusted to my face. These are supposed to have a personal experience feel. It's like you watching a full screen but you only get half the screen because you can't turn the picture to fit the fov. Fix the settings so that we can postiton and recenter the screen how we seem fit. Everybody was saying that it was fine until your couldn't use the Viture settings anymore.

Audio distortion

@Viture! When will you do another audio fix/update? I haven't updated my Beast glasses as of yet because of all the recent complaints. I get so tired of when I am comfortably watching something I have to replug the cord a few times to reset it because of the distortion, it just blows me! Or do I just need to return it for an exchange for a new one? Fix this along with the other issues quickly with next update! I know I can't be the only one with this issue!

6dof

We have the Beast glasses and they are very nice! They could have made them with hand tracking that would have made them awesome. They created them with the RGB camera not operating. We don't even know if they will even ever enable it. So was that a scheme just to get people to buy it. Or are they going to enable it at the time when Aura is released and magically somehow add hand tracking to compete? Im just wondering because even though I like them, with the release of Aura coming soon, was it a waste of money buying the Beast when it's not fully developed.

Restore Direct Settings to Viture Glasses while attached to the Inair Pod

To Viture:.... The more I have the Beast and the inair pods the more I do enjoy them but the more you find out the pros and cons. And with this one I don't know which one to blame. Why would you take away the settings from the glasses and force the consumer to rely on the INAIR Pod or other connected devices for all display configurations. Unless Inair going to update there configurations to mimic Viture. This is a complaint because I like to use my phone and the Pod. But I can't use it on my phone because the pod changed the the resolution and you can't change it through the pod. The only way you can change the resolution back is through a computer. Luckily I have one but I might not be around one when I want to use just my phone. I attached it to my phone, the lens go dark, the sound cuts off on my phone, but no picture or images display on the screen. Do anyone else experience this, or is this just me? If you have experienced this and have figured out how to fix this issue, teach somebody like me but if there is no fix for this, Viture please put back the settings feature on the glasses so we can configure the settings on the beast instead of solely using the inair pod.

Settings and Sound distortion

When I researched the inair pod and that the Beast. I believe I heard that with this combo you could still use the button settings that are attached to your glasses as well as the Pod settings. Then I heard that with the current update they took that option away, and you you can only control it now with just just the Pod. If there is a way that you can control the settings with the buttons while attached to the pod please explain. Also since having the two I have been experiencing occasional sound distortion were I have to Un and replug the cable. I would like to know if anyone have been experiencing this too.

2D to 3D and 3D immersion Part 2

WooooW! This chet is awesome! 😆 I love 3D! Every since I was a kid.. I can go further back but, I remember when there were projections tvs and they evolved and I seen my first 1080p for sale it was 15,000 dollars. It was playing Star Trek. I was a teenager, I stood in the store amazed staring at the screen. The Starship looked like it was going fly right out of the screen. Then the 3D tvs hit the stores. I could never get one. It was always something life be lifein.

I only had the Beast for a month now and I am still impressed and still learning. I have added the Inair Pod, this makes a fantastic setup of the 3D realm. I also have a OG Legion Go. So if I have real 3D files I don't have to use space walker app. If I want to stay on my phone I just use space walker. But since the Inair pod is its own OS I can turn anything 2D to 3D which is so cool. I still have use for space walker because some 3D plays best in there.

I only watched a couple of shows but it's enough to keep me excited.. Spiderman Noir b/w(spacewalker app) and X-Men 97(Inair Pod) looks awesome in 3d. Takes me to my child hood memories everytime, the good times! And that's what it's all about!

What is the best way to clean your XR Glasses.. And before you say duh😊 cloth and paper towels leave scratches and swirls. Microfiber cloths pickup dust particles and Pebbles and also would do the same and you should not even get them a wet. How to stay away from the swirly lens?

Screen protectors

Just out of curiosity i'm just wondering if anyone have made a screen protector for their pod or if you have used any type of liquid glass to protect their screen since they don't sell any screen protectors for it

I like the Beast more every time I pick them up

I haven't had the beast very long, I say about three weeks. I haven't played with it alot but every time I pick it up I feel happy about the decision I made to get these. Dispite not being able to turn everything 2D to 3D on the fly I'm not going to worry about that because I'm going to get the in-air pod soon. And if they can get the Minority Report to work better I'll get the neckband too.

But this post is about what I like about it now I'll keep it short... I hooked it up to my Legion Go and I was like wow. I wasn't on it long didn't play any games I just wanted to get familiar with it. It so cool having stacked screens or three gigantic screens open at a time. And then what tripped me out that gigantic panoramic screen. I was like whoa!

This is dope.

One last new thing I tried was AR transmitting. This is really cool to me. Having Samsung Dex on 124' screen while you can see everything transparently around your room. That's dope asl! The only problem is, why couldn't they matte the inside so the bottom would not have a reflection.

If you thinking about getting one. This is not a bad idea!

2D to 3D, Immersion 3D, 3D PERIOD!

I really like this set of XR Glasses. The Beast massive screen is cool asl! After watching countless videos of everyone praising the 3D quality of the glasses. Im thinking I should send them back and exchange them for the XReal 1s pro. I really got them for the 3D technology but if I can't get that out of everything I plug it into like my phone without having to use space walker then what's the use for paying all that money. Sad thing about it, I didn't see any videos talking about this until after I got it. And I asked gemini would it be able to it it told me yeah without explaining only with space walker until I asked about it again after I got. But with this and the 6DOF not working make these glasses suc! I hope they change that in a update, but I don't think they can
