Align any 3D SBS Video [ScreenLab XR] #FeedTheBeast

Hi everyone,

Have you ever encountered your Side-By-Side video misaligned or stretched?

My app ScreenLab XR can move each Side freely to align them using Stack1 or Stack2.

^ This is how I watch any SBS video even they do not fit properly. Thanks to u/No-Marsupial-9963 for suggesting me to try FeedTheBeast today. I use XR glasses for VR360 video as well.

What else would you use ScreenLab XR for? Please let me know your thoughts/feedbacks~❀

Honest review of the Beast from someone who loves Viture products so much that I have two other pairs

This might help someone contemplating the $500 upgrade. The tldr is that I regret the purchase and would be remiss if didn't warn others expecting a substantial upgrade.

I loved the Viture Pros so much that I purchased two pairs, one to keep in the office and one for the road. I recently purchased the beast, expecting it to be a reasonable upgrade after the new firmware release. Instead, I now find myself in endless cable nightmare trying to figure out why these glasses simply do not want to handshake with my 5070.

Starting with the display, Viture heavily advertises the "unprecedented visual clarity" of this massive 174-inch screen, but the reality is fairly disappointing. The lack of overall sharpness is noticeable when expanding the screen beyond regular size. While the dead-center of the image is acceptable, the edge clarity is just not there. Everything on the periphery turns into a fuzzy, distorted mess. You can't comfortably read text or look at the corners of the screen without straining your eyes. For a headset heavily marketed for its massive 58-degree field of view, having blurry edges ruins the immersion and usability.

The real downer, however, is the software and firmware and the sheer nightmare of trying to connect these to a desktop PC. I run a decent rig with an RTX 5070. You would expect a premium AR headset dubbed "The Beast" to interface seamlessly with modern, top-tier desktop GPUs, but it doesn't play nicely with 120hz/1200p settings. Even the wrong adapter cable will have it not turning on. Since modern desktop graphics cards lack native USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode, you are forced into a convoluted, expensive mess of third-party HDMI/DP-to-USB-C adapters just to get a basic video signal. Even when you finally get it connected, the software completely drops the ball. The built-in 3DoF anchor mode constantly drifts and requires frequent resetting, the SpaceWalker app is glitchy, and dealing with desktop compatibility is an exercise in pure frustration. You spend more time troubleshooting cables and software resets than actually using the glasses.

Viture seems to have rushed this launch, prioritizing flashy marketing over basic quality control and functional desktop support. If you are a PC power user looking to use these with a dedicated GPU, I would recommend against it until Viture gets both the hardware, and the software supporting it, in a stable and generally working state across more configurations.

Viture Beast screen size option

I noticed that the Viture Beast menu has two screen size options: Ultra Large and Extra Large.

If I choose Ultra Large, part of the image gets cropped, so I have to switch to Extra Large to see the full screen (which is slightly smaller).

So does the Extra Large mode still give the full 58° FOV, or is it actually smaller than that? Because if it’s smaller, I’d honestly rather stick with the Viture Luma Ultra, since the Ultra is much sharper overall.

The BEAST

I just ordered my first XR glasses and won't be here till next week! I can't wait and I mean that quite literally. I ordered from the site and dreaded the express timeline but I know the patience will 100% be worth it.

I was torn between the Ultras and the BEAST and I would had gotten the ultra by Friday but I know the BEAST will be worth the wait. I really wish I could have both the Ultras and the BEAST but maybe one day I'll have both.

I did a ton of research on all available XR/AR glasses and the BEAST is where I landed with the dock so I'll post an update once they get here with some first impressions.

Is it just me or did Immersive 3D for YouTube in SpaceWalker for iOS break just recently?

With my Viture Beast over the last few days, I’ve noticed that when I open YouTube in the SpaceWalker app on my iPad or iPhone, it no longer auto-detects the video to offer to play it in Immersive 3D?

(iOS 26.5 happened to come out about ten days ago, so I’m not sure whether maybe that could be related at all?)

Just to put this out there, when I go through the steps for this as shown in this video from Viture about using Immersive 3D with YouTube on iOS, everything works fine right up to the part around 0:28 where the Immersive 3D floating palette is supposed to appear. (I’ve had my Viture Beast since around April, and up until a few days ago—when something seems to have changed—this had been working just fine.)

PS I realize that there’s also a “make it 3D” button that’s next to the URL bar in the SpaceWalker app, which ostensibly works with YouTube, but that also introduces heaps of lag whenever I’ve tried it.

Just got some XR Pros (2024) on eBay. What do I do with them?

Just saw these refurbished on eBay for $156 and bought them because they look cool. What are some cool tips and tricks that you use to maximize their use? I own a ROG Ally so I know they would be good for that.

120hz not working with Switch 2 (black screen) - Beasts

I just got my beasts the other day, Firmware is up to date. I plugged them into the pro dock with my Switch 2, but every time I try to switch to 120hz the picture goes black. I made sure that the 120hz option is checked in the switch settings. I was trying to play Mario Kart which definitely supports 120hz. Am I doing something wrong?

still haven't received what i paid for

i bought the luma pros in september of last year. i was part of the batch of glasses which were stuck in customs for months.

when i finally got my glasses, they had been opened, and parts were missing.

i have interacted with maggie li, the director of operations, in november, january, and april, about this. all i wanted were the nosepads.

each time she promised me free glasses. i still have not received my nosepads.

i have interacted with this director of operations 23 times.

i believe that the nosepads i want cost less than five cents.

these glasses aren't really usable without them. eight months after buying viture's most expensive device and all its accessories, i have yet to actually be able to use them.

viture's staff have promised replacements for seven months now.

i am disappointed. they look really fun, and i did pay for them

Uncalibrated camera on Viture Beast

Although almost no one mentions that The Beast glasses build in RGP camera is detected as USB web cam and therefore can be used e.g. for FPV videos like DIY recordings or streaming. I personally found this use case especially interesting and threating it as a bonus functionality. I'd suggest to highlight this in promo materials as this info is never mentioned neither in official web site nor in most of reviews (only mentioned by Hubwood on youtube).
I was able to capture video and sound on Windows (Camera app) and MacOS (QuickTime app). There's also tiny white led above the cam indicating its working.

https://preview.redd.it/exzf4h2oua2h1.png?width=189&format=png&auto=webp&s=2bee2ecbce2cdec8cb54a273f9a2000149d10c71

Camera led

Hovewer, due to some circumstances this camera usage is very limited:

  1. Camera itself seems to be uncalibrated. Its video is very dark even in daylight room. It seems OK only with direct daylight. Any snadow results in dark zone on video. See the sample. I managed to improve quality a bit playing with camera brightness & saturation settings in Windows OS. Unfortunatelly, there's no such options on Mac OS.
  2. I was only able to access the cam on laptops (Windows and Mac), while it was not accessible on Iphone 15 Pro max with latest IOS installed. Some investigation showed Apple seems still didn't enabled UVC camera support in Iphones, which is very disappointing. Tried to connect it to available low-end Android tablet, but it didn't recognized glasses at all.

Dark camers calibration

Proposals:

  1. as a short-term solution, please adjust default camera calibration so it can be usable for indoor light avideo capture as well as outdoor
  2. as long-term, please introduce camera settings options in glasses menu, possibly with autocalibration option
  3. as a workaround to bypass lack of ios camera support for iphones, it could be introduced some camera plugin in spacewalker app for ios?

Abxylute trash service

Three weeks ago, when Viture announced that they had partnered with Abxylute to sell the S9V, a game controller compatible with iPhones and the Viture Beast, it was an easy day-one purchase for me. The only reason I hadn’t bought Viture’s controller that they did with 8bitdo was that it was only compatible with Android.

I ordered the Abxylute S9V in late April, with an announced shipping date of early May. When early May came and went with no shipping notice, I asked Abxylute when they planned to ship the controller. They said it was delayed to mid May.

Mid May also passed with no shipping notice, so I asked Abxylute again when they were going to ship the product I paid for. And now they’re telling me it’ll be the end of May.

After two delays, I no longer have any confidence that Abxylute will ever actually ship this product, so I’ve cancelled my order. Abxylute has not yet acknowledged the cancellation or told me when I can expect my money back.

I went through the same thing with Viture, when my “January” shipment didn’t actually arrive until early March. I came close to cancelling that order too, but Viture at least compensated me for the delay, and I also at least knew that some people were getting the Beast shipped to them. As far as I know, Abxylute hasn’t shipped the S9V to anyone other than reviewers more than three weeks after the product announcement, and all they have offered to paying customers is excuse after excuse.

It’s a shame, because on paper at least the S9V sounded like it would be a really great product. But with this being my first interaction with Abxylute as a company, I am not impressed at all, and I will be seeking a full refund.

Viture, please reconsider this “partnership” with Abxylute and do business with someone who will actually ship products.

For anyone considering buying an S9V controller from Abxylute
 good luck.

Seeing Double Images With Viture Luma Ultra But Have Low IPD

Bought a pair of Luma Ultra‘s about a week ago, love everything about it except for the fact i keep seeing two images instead of one concrete image.

I just got prescription lenses for astigmatism thinking this would help (the diopters on the glasses actually did a great job for the tiny bit of myopia i have) but the two image issue is still present.

I’ve done the things people have suggested (zeroing out the diopters, using different nose pads, clicking the frames to different positions, etc) and nothing works.

I’m also confident my unit isn’t defective because my girlfriend has used it and reported a fantastic, perfect image. She too, wears glasses and contacts.

I’ve heard that since my IPD is below 60 (different tests have shown around 58.5 on average) this could be the culprit. Is that really true? That’s massively disheartening. I’m not even sure if the little slip on custom inserts Viture can do would help rectify that. At this point, I’m just looking for ANY ar glasses whatsoever that be used, (maybe even some other one in their product lineup) but I really like these Viture ones in every way other than this very specific issue.

Can anyone offer any advice? I’m not sure customer service can help, but I’m literally out of answers and I feel like I’ve researched the issue plenty :(

Struggling with the Beast with iPhone 16 Pro.

Just got my Beasts (and did the latest firmware update) and I’m trying to use them with my iPhone 16 Pro, but so far I’ve had pretty limited success.

When I plug them in, I get the blue USB icon in the Dynamic Island, so the phone definitely recognizes something is connected. YouTube videos will play, but audio only comes through the iPhone speakers — I can’t find any way to switch the audio output to the glasses.

I’ve searched around quite a bit and haven’t been able to find a solution.

SpaceWalker mode is also extremely unstable for me and keeps resetting/disconnecting the device. On top of that, most streaming apps like Netflix and Criterion won’t play at all. Some apps, like Reddit, just show a static or corrupted-looking screen.

I also tried 3D mode, but it seems completely broken. The image appears flipped incorrectly, the center of the screen is blank, and the picture is split awkwardly across the far left and right edges of the displays.

Has anyone else experienced this with the iPhone 16 Pro? Is there some setting I’m missing?

Beast and Ultra

I'm trying to do research on whether to get the beast or the ultra and from what I can tell to unlock the full potential of the ultra you need the neckband but with the beast it's ready to go.

Any suggestions or input?

3D features: Viture Beast or Xreal One Pro?

Hey all,

I am one of the few that are undecided on what product I want to go for.

On the one hand, I would really like to go for Viture because I do see that feedback matters to them and as a result, are more likely to receive feature updates and QoL enhancements. (Does anyone who buys only Viture agree that this is consistent?)

One of the features that has piqued my interest on both, is the 3D functionality.

I heard the Xreal does all 3D from the chip and Viture's is dependent on software. Can anyone provide context around what this means? Anyone who has both, what are the differences and are they that noticeable?

Thanks!

Anybody use their Viture with the SNES Classic?

I recently bought an SNES Classic on a whim, and wanted to play it using my AR glasses with an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter. Tried two different adapters, and neither worked. Anybody here who tried this more successfully, and how? I read somewhere else that it might be because the SNES Classic only outputs a 720p signal, and that I might need an upscaler, but I can't find any!

Daily driving Beasts with Samsung?

Anybody using this exclusively with Samsung?

Specifically I have the s25ultra phone and s9ultra tablet and want to make sure that everything works before I commit to purchase.

Does the phone screen turn off when connected to the glasses?

Do you use Dex mode?

Any issues or bugs?
