The Pro 2 changed how I think XR

Been using the Pro 2 for about a week, and it got me thinking about how much wearable tech has changed.

I've tried a few different kinds of futuristic tech over the years. VR headsets, Vision Pro, etc. They're all cool, but the weight, heat and having your face usually make them feel like something I'd only use a couple times a month.

That's what surprised me about the Pro 2. It took some messing with the nose pads and temple angle to get the fit right. I'm nearsighted, so being able to dia in each eye without prescription inserts was very nice. Once I got everything set, I stopped thinking about the glassed and could look around the screen without the edges getting blurry.

Then I made the mistake of putting on The Dark Knight one night. Just gonna watch a little, two and a half hours later, credits rolling lol. That's when the lighter frame really clicked for me. There wasn't much pressure on my nose or ears, and somewhere along the way I kinda forgot I was wearing them and just got into the movie.

A few days later, I've been using it way more than I expected for movies and gaming. Compared to a traditional headset, it's just so much easier to grab and use. It's light on my face, easy to thow in a bag, and doesn't feel like a whole setup every time. It is a really amazing XR device at this price, at least for me.

Prescription insert - who makes the best?

Just bought the Viture Beast.

Who makes the best prescription inserts? Should I get them directly from Viture?

Do the blue light blocking inserts make a visual difference?

Thank you!

I received my free next gen XR Adapter (Ultra) - Excellent customer support (Ruby)

This report is only about the handling of this free upgrade with Viture customer support.
Another post will follow in a few days after testing this new XR Adapter Ultra.

So:

End of March 2026, I bought Viture Luma Ultra and the $69 XR adapter on Amazon (Europe).
Obviously, I soon realised this charger did nothing more than charging the glasses while streaming from my iPhone 17. And this Viture channel made be aware there was an upcoming next gen XR Adapter "Ultra".

In early August 2026, Viture announced the new XR Adapter "Ultra" was finally ready ($89 on Viture Website). So, I wrote to happycustomer@viture.us to request the promised free upgrade to the Ultra Adapter.

If you check my reddit handle, you will see I am a very honest poster, disclosing all pro's and con's. However, in this particular case, I am nothing less than amazed by Viture customer support team, and it is only fair to congratulate them for outstanding customer support.

- I mailed Viture on Sunday 2 August, and had a reply the same day (Sunday).
- It took a few easy mails to confirm everything, because I bought via Amazon, so they needed proof of purchase.
- I was transferred to a Viture / Amazon team. My contact person was Ruby. She was absolutely perfect, keeping me in the loop of every little step, with perfect English proficiency, plus very kind and professional attitude. To my delight, she quickly confirmed everything was ok.
- The XR adapter was shipped by Viture on Friday 8 August from China, and Ruby sent me all data to access the tracking system, which was very complete.
- The transit time lasted 10 days to Western Europe (most of the travel time was in China). Once on the plane everything went fast.
- I got delivery this morning at home, in Belgium (Western Europe).
- All free of charge, including shipping, transport and possible tax stuff.
- Perfect customer support, packaging, tracking, delivery.
- I did not have to send the old one back. Viture didn't ask for it. It is useless to me now anyway, but obviously sparing the hassle to send it back is nice. Thanks for avoiding me this little trouble, Viture.

From my very first mail (August 2) to home delivery (August 19) : 17 days (including two weekends).

Thank you again, Viture team. Special thanks to outstanding Ruby. 5 Stars *****.

Here is a picture of both adapters. You see the mention "Ultra" on the right hand box.
The new adapter (the blue one) is a bit bigger than the old one.

Will send another post, in a few days, after testing.

Eyebox

I just got the Viture Pro 2, and no matter how I adjust it the screen is slightly bigger than the eyebox, so on my right eye the lower right corner is cropped off, and on my left eye the lower left corner is cropped off. The eyebox is oval not really a box, and those two corners fall off the oval.

Is there a workaround for this? Can I shrink the screen so it fits in the eyebox?

VITURE Pro Mobile Dock / Just a bad Adapter with additional Powerbank?

i just bought a VITURE Pro Mobile Dock and actually its pretty underwhelming.

I thought i can use it on my Windows Desktop through the Spacewalker APP for Windows.. but it can´t find the glasses when connected to the Dock. And direct connect via USB-C won´t share Grafiks without on-Board Grafik. (Connected the Dock with HDMI x HDMI, HDMI x DP and simultan USB-C x USB-C)

i thought i can use it on my Steamdeck w/o problems but Decky / XR Gaming can´t find the glasses when connected to the Dock.

Even on my Iphone with the Spacewalker App the Dock is Useless and won´t enable the extra features.

And for Switch 2, any 8€ adapter will do the same just w/o the Powerbank feature. if you want to use it on multiscreens use a splitter... WOW what a highlight.

Gona return that crap

Beast or Pro 2

I am about to purchase either The Beast or Pro 2. Help me decide which.

I really like the screen size of the beast - but I’m worried the blurry edges will bother me. I have not tried either one. I’m just gonna go for one without trying either- I know this is not smart but that’s why I’m asking for help!

Help me pick! I would be using them for entertainment purposes. Basically YouTube. Netflix. Phone mirror. Some second screen on my laptop.

Anyone that’s used both - please chime in if you don’t mind.

Thoughts?

Viture pro 2 en Samsung fold 7

Bueno, hoy recientemente he recibido mis gafas.

Detailed XR Glasses Comparison Cheatsheet - Key Flaws, Overall Rating, Value Rating, Tech Specs, Center Sharpness, Edge Sharpness, IPD, Build Quality, SteamVR Rating, Flat Gaming, Movies, Travel, Working Out, Productivity, Included Extras and Special Features -- LF Feedback

This cheatsheet focuses mainly on XR/VR glasses that could be used as display glasses for gaming, movie watching, productivity, and a walkaround wearable display for the above functions. It's a value and feature focused list and is derived mainly from my 1000+ hours using the various XR glasses. None of any my work is written or generated by AI.

Looking for feedback - What am I missing from these overviews charts? Any typos or errors? or did I get any info wrong? First draft of this! Thanks! This is a work in progress and will be adjusted as needed for my upcoming XR reviews through community feedback/correction. I hope you don't mind me sharing my work here. My goal is to help everyone find they love, by finding the tech I love.

XR glasses by Rating in brief:

Viture Beast - 90% - Just such good value, super bright, poppy visuals, and still the best center sharpness. Blacks can be crushed, but there are ways of fixing this.

XReal One Pro - 88% - High quality product, just works. Recommended for productivity on a budget, but really higher resolution is needed for optimal productivity for all XR glasses. Recommending QHD+ or higher for optimal productivity.

XReal R1 - 85% (similar to One Pro, but docked 3% because costs more due to dock and redesign with RGB, but basically the same as the One Pro)

Viture Pro 2 / XReal 1S - 85% - Both great value XR glasses. XReal 1S for cheapest reliable anchoring. Pro 2 for cheapest Myopia sliding dials and sharp overall image.

XBX / Luma Ultra - 83% - XBX great value, Luma Ultra worth it for some users and use cases, like with Pro Neckband

RayNeo Air 4 Pro 78% - The cheapest overall XR glasses and highest rated in the value category, excellent for people on a budget and want to save money for gaming and movie watching using AI HDR or HDR10. The DRIFT on the 3DOF sensor hurts the rating a lot here, as it reduces the functionality of the XR glasses for productivity as well as potential 3DOF SteamVR support. Got to spend more for those features, apparently.

Dream Air SLAM - Super small VR headset that could be used to power 4K virtual screens (soon to have VertoXR support) for super sharp text productivity or gaming at high PPD for many use cases. This could work great on the go for handheld gaming and productivity with powerful laptops or desktops at home. Obviously, peak VR visuals as well. Review unit incoming in like a week. Needs hands on testing. I have seen mixed feedback on the SLAM tracking.

Five Bonus Upcoming XR Glasses to be excited about before the end of 2026 -->

URXR One - Promising increased resolution XR/VR headset, Launching 10/26 supposedly. They will be sending production unit for detailed review around launch.

Viture QHD glasses coming before the end of 2026. Needs testing. From what I have heard from Viture, seems promising. I can't share details.

XReal Aura - 6DOF XR glasses that will have a puck paired with them. $1500+. Higher FOV. Should be excellent for many use cases. But not going to be higher resolution, which makes me sad.

RayNeo GT and GT MAX will be added to this list in the next month or so, as they being sent to me now. Seem very promising with onboard chip based 3DOF and reasonable pricing $300-400. Needs testing to see if the Anchor is good and lens quality. Might be discount Beast, basically.

VITURE Luma Pro vs VITURE Pro 2 — my experience after using both

I’ve spent some time comparing the VITURE Luma Pro and VITURE Pro 2, mainly for gaming, and there are some differences that are quite noticeable.

Build quality

Both glasses are very well built. However, the Pro 2 feels slightly better built to me. It feels a little more solid and refined overall.

Image quality

This is where the Pro 2 wins.

The colors are still vibrant, but they feel more natural and controlled. The Luma Pro can sometimes have those very intense, almost fluorescent reds, whereas the Pro 2 looks more balanced while still being very vivid and contrasty.

Fine detail is also better on the Pro 2. The difference isn’t huge, but text is easier to read and small details in games, especially things in the distance, are easier to distinguish.

No black crush on both, and blooming is quite under control on both, maybe Pro 2 has slightly more blooming, but so subtle that is nothing to worry about.

Brightness

The Pro 2 also seems slightly brighter at maximum brightness.

However, both glasses get extremely bright, to the point where I don’t think brightness should be a deciding factor. The difference is there, but in actual use, both reach more than enough brightness.

FOV / perceived screen size

This is where I actually prefer the Luma Pro.

The Luma Pro feels like a larger screen overall. The advertised ~146” feels believable from my perspective. It has more of that big home-theater-screen feeling.

The Pro 2 feels closer to a ~125-130” screen. Maybe slightly closer to my eyes. It’s still very immersive. The 50º fov are real, it’s just my perception.

Interestingly, increasing the IPD on the Pro 2 makes the perceived screen feel somewhat larger, closer to the Luma Pro. However, I think this proves that is more of a perception effect rather than an actual noticeable FOV difference.

For immersion, I’d give the advantage to the Luma Pro, slightly.

Audio

Very similar overall.

Volume seems basically identical to me. The Luma Pro may have slightly more pronounced mids and highs, while the Pro 2 sounds a little flatter. Some people might prefer the Luma Pro as it might sound cleaner or clearer.

I wouldn’t consider audio a deciding factor between them tho.

Comfort

The Pro 2 wins here.

I’ve never had any comfort issues with the Luma Pro. They’re already very comfortable for me.

However, the Pro 2 feels slightly better, mainly because it’s lighter. The adjustable nose pads/bridge also make it easier to get a comfortable fit.

Edge clarity

Surprisingly, I see very little difference here.

I’m using the Pro 2 with the default nose pads and haven’t experimented much with adjusting them. Around 80% of the image looks perfectly sharp to me, while the remaining area is slightly softer.

However, if I move the glasses slightly closer to my eyes, I can get essentially the entire screen looking sharp.

So for me, edge clarity is basically a tie.

Heat

Neither gets particularly hot in my experience.

The Pro 2 doesn’t seem to heat up noticeably, but the Luma Pro wasn’t particularly warm either.

Lens darkness

This surprised me.

Even though the Pro 2 doesn’t have the electrochromic lenses, the lenses are very dark. I’d estimate they provide roughly 70–80% of the perceived darkness of the Luma Pro’s electrochromic lenses.

For me, this isn’t nearly as important a difference as I expected.

Latency — slight issue for me

This is the main reason I’m slightly hesitant about choosing the Pro 2.

Testing both with a PS5, the Luma Pro feels very slightly more responsive to me. Input feels instantaneous.

With the Pro 2, I perceive a small amount of additional latency, not much tho, as I’m really used to +240hz monitors so I notice small things like this.

Gaming comparison

For reference, the Luma Pro feels to me roughly like playing on my LG OLED C4 at 120 Hz with Game Mode enabled and the corresponding low-latency boost mode.

The difference in perceived latency between the two feels roughly like comparing input lag at 90–100 Hz versus 144 Hz on a monitor.

Keep in mind I only tried Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, capped at 30 FPS on my PS5, but that’s what I felt.

I don’t think this would bother most people tho, but latency is quite important to me and I’m really sensitive to it.

Overall

Honestly, I can’t decide which one is the better product.

The Pro 2 has several advantages:

  • Better overall image quality
  • Better fine detail
  • Slightly higher brightness
  • More comfortable
  • Excellent, more natural-looking colors
  • Slightly more solid build
  • Lower price

On the other hand, the Luma Pro has some advantages that can be equally important depending on what you value:

  • A more vivid and spectacular-looking image, which some people may actually prefer
  • More immersive perceived screen size
  • Electrochromic dimming
  • Magnetic connector
  • Possibly slightly lower latency, at least in my experience

So I genuinely think either one is a great option.

The Pro 2 feels like the more refined and balanced product, while the Luma Pro has a few characteristics that make it more appealing for immersion.

For me personally, I’m still undecided between the two.

What are you guys using to be able to use wired headphones while using your glasses?

I have a decent pair of wired headphones that I enjoy using while watching shows. I don't mind using the glasses on their own, but the sound quality of the speakers on the glasses just doesn't compare to using headphones/earbuds. What splitter/dock is good to allow me to use the glasses and wired headphones at the same time? Not looking to spend a crazy amount but any suggestions are appreciated.

Phone is a OnePlus15 if that makes any difference

Worth it for the average consumer?

I really selfishly wish these were $100, they look so cool, but for something im not sure i'd regret purchasing (ar/xr glasses in general I don't own a pair) I don't feel comfortable spending $300-$600. I remember my dad buying a telescope in the late 90's maybe early 2000's, and the salesman told us if he had bought a telescope with similar technology 3 years prior it would have cost $50,000 and not $500. Im just afraid I buy a pair of beasts or luma ultras and am either disappointed, or end up being extremely outdated possibly within a few years. I just want to know from people who aren't rich and can't afford too many purchases outside their budget if the glasses are really worth it. From everything I've seen they look extremely cool, especially 3dof/6dof, and is one of the most futuristic pieces of technology I've ever seen.

Pro 2 review!

Got mine 3 days ago and love them. They are my first pair of XR glasses, so I had zero expectations.
Pros:
✅They are light and I had zero issues watching a 2hr movie. I did not use the Viture app, as I had no problems with streaming apps in general.
✅The 50 FOV is amazing, but I'm sure 58 would be
even better🤣
✅Both the brightness and vivid colors were amazing.
✅The built in diopter made the picture so clear, as I am near sighted.
✅The Viture USB-C XR charging Adaptor Pro is a MUST, as your battery will drain.
✅The portability is a travelers dream.
✅THE PRICE!
✅Great communication by Viture as to delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Cons:
❌The sound is faint, even at its highest setting, therefore I highly recommend you listen with a good pair of Bluetooth headphones.

For anyone interested in diving into the wonderful world of XR, these are a great option. I'm sure the other Viture models will have their own unique improvements, but these are a great starting point for XR glasses.

Which XR glasses are actually the sharpest? Gaming via TAB S7+

My priorities:

  • Maximum image sharpness
  • 120 Hz (mandatory)
  • The ability to use prescription lens inserts (I have astigmatism)
  • Good edge-to-edge clarity
  • As few optical compromises as possible

My use case:

  • Gaming in bed via Tab S7+, using GeForce Now and Moonlight Streaming
  • Movies
  • Gaming while doing cardio on a recumbent bike
  • Occasionally browsing Reddit or watching YouTube

Things I don't care about:

  • Peak brightness / nits (I'll use them indoors 98% of the time)
  • Productivity or virtual multi-monitor setups

One thing that worries me is text clarity and edge sharpness.

I've read several comments saying that the VITURE Beast has a larger FOV but also noticeably blurrier edges and less sharp text near the borders.

On top of that there are just so many different models I have no clue what to look at. Older but good models are also ok I guess. I would buy used.

Thanks a lot.

Have any real-life folks tried the Pro 2 yet? There are lots of video reviews, but of course, many of those are sponsored and/or earning commission.

I am mostly wondering about clarity. My primary usage will be Switch 2 and movies.

I have tried the Beast and XReal One Pro, but I'd love as much clarity as possible. I'd love something close to 4K — not just in part of the screen but all around.

[Rant] VITURE — You’re losing potential customers with broken Best Buy displays

I’ve been seriously interested in buying the VITURE (Beast) glasses, but before spending that kind of money, I wanted to actually try a pair since I’ve never used XR glasses before.

I went to the Best Buy at 14th St/Union Sq in NYC specifically because they have a VITURE display. As far as I can tell, it seems to be one of the only places to try them in a city of 8+ million people.

The problem? The demo glasses have been destroyed and completely gone for months.

I’m pissed because I’ve gone out of my way twice over the last 4 months hoping to try them, only to walk away both times without being able to.

For something like XR glasses, trying them in person is extremely important. You honestly need to see the image quality, FOV, comfort, fit, clarity, Yada Yada Yada, for oneself. Those things matter a lot more with a wearable display.

Meanwhile, Meta Quest headsets have been sitting there for years and can still be tried on and used. I know that’s probably an unfair comparison since Meta is a massive company, but screw Meta.

Best Buy and/or VITURE really need to fix this display and ideally offer more locations where people can actually try the glasses. Having a retail partnership doesn’t help much if customers show up, excited about the product, and the demo is basically nonexistent.

At this point, my alternative is to just buy the Beast, try it at home, and return if they don't meet the hyped up (Ad) expectations. If enough of your customers return a pair or even exchange due to not being given the chance to try, I’d imagine all those returns probably cost more than simply keeping working demo units available.

I also have a bigger head and usually need wider glasses, so being able to try them on really matters.

I can’t be the only person this has happened to.

VITURE, you’re potentially and probably losing customers who are already interested in buying your product simply because we can’t try them.
