One of the things I like most about my Viture Pro 2

Is that you don't have to charge it! I haven't used it in a while but it's nice knowing that I can just plug it in and it works. I have a pair of Meta Rayban glasses that never get used and it's mainly because they've been sitting dead in the closet somewhere and I don't feel like charging them.

Immersed Visor doesn't really look that small anymore.

The idea was that you were supposed to be able to wear this at a coffee shop and not look like a freak

That's really the only reason to make a small form factor.

Maybe this was considered small 3 years ago when it was supposed to launch

If you have a PC you can see what PSVR2 games will look like with DLSS5

Can any of these glasses read PDF files?

They all have the teleprompter feature but can I just dump a PDF file in there and have it autoscroll? Then it becomes something I would use every day.

I tried to like System Critical III

I've actually only played 2 levels but I feel like it's about a 5/10 game.

It's close to being good but you can still sense the taint of the last bad games.

It's hard to pin point exactly what's wrong with the game. (Other than being hard for the sake of being hard). It's not hard in a fair way. It's more like hard because my guy feels like he's on ice and I need to run backwards over a tiny platform without falling and no way to gip the ledge if I miss. It's just bad.

It needs a jet pack.

It needs better control.

It needs less cheap feeling combat.

It needs shield auto regen like Halo.

That's about it. Those are some of the problems. Graphics are good though. I give it a 5/10. That's low for me. I don't think there's many 5/10 games that made it onto the PS store.

Character swap in minimax is so epic.

I don't have any examples because they may not be appropriate but just with the default wf. With the video input node you can replace any 2 character in any video and it looks real!

Project Wingman is actually good.

It's almost never on sale but it's like 14 bucks right now. I expected it to suck but no, it's good!

The first impression when you're on the ground is that the graphics are gonna be horrible. But this isn't actually a ground game. You're up very high in the sky most of the time and it looks great. Explosions look great. High framerate. Headset haptics. And no motion sickness. It's fun!

I think people were mad that not all of the content is VR. I'm not sure how long it will last but there seems to be a decent amount here with multiple difficulties. Maybe people were mad because Ace combat 7 is better? Not sure but taking it by itself I think it's good.

I haven't played Aces but I have MSFS and this is right up there in terms of feeling like you're flying so it seems fine to me.

If you liked Tentacular and thought there was nothing else like it check out Human Fall Flat

I thought Tentacular was ok. But when I finished it I kind of missed it. Human Fall Flat is the natural follow up. It has the same wonky ragdoll control things with your arms gameplay. I think it might be even better.

Omega Pilot Impressions

I only did a few races but so far I like it. It's smooth and the graphics are good. No it's not super detailed but it looks like a real place. Not every real place is super detailed. Minimalistic but everything that's there is polished.

There's nice FX like sparks and stuff. The explosions look good when the other cars crash. The haptics are pretty good. All in all it's a pretty immersive experience.

Sorry I haven't played Vracer so I can't compare them.

There's experience and money too but I'm not sure what it's used for yet.

Is 90's Extreme Skiing actually good or is it overhyped?

I feel like it's one of these games that's overhyped because people think the developer is a nice person. I can't keep buying games for that reason. So just wondering is it actually good?

With the sudden wave of free mods do you think it'll impact people trying to make money off mods like Flat2VR studios?

It's hard to justify paying for mods when somebody will probably make the same mod for free. Maybe they will find other ways to add value?

I was actually a hater, but System Critical 3 is not bad.

I like the graphics. It's refreshing having a game that doesn't look like a Quest game. Makes it feel more immersive and big.

It is sort of like Megaman but it actually feels more like Halo. I'm not a big Halo guy so I only played the first one. It sort of reminds me of that.

The shooting feels good and the slowmo is satisfying. It's like bullet hell Halo with Megaman music. That's the best way to describe it.

Not the greatest game ever but I like the environments because of how big they are. Makes me want to spend time in there.

For me it's on par with that other retro game. Forgot what it's called. Oh yeah, Wrath Brutal Edition. But it looks way better. I would probably recommend this game over that one because at least the graphics are good which adds to the immersion.

Do you feel guilty that all the software people are being laid off? I feel like the chip market is strong as ever.

I was just interviewing for chip jobs and honestly, I feel like the market is strong as ever.
I keep hearing about all these software people being laid off , and submitting thousands of applications. I probably submitted 20 applications and got about 10 interviews.

All the ones I was rejected from it was companies thinking they still have the luxury to be picky. I was like, well good luck finding someone. Because I know they won't anyone.

At the same time I almost feel guilty that our market is strong and we're building the tools to eliminate everybody else's job.

NGL Some of these latest flat games are starting to look really good. How can VR compete when every game has to run on Quest?

The bar constantly being raised. I don’t see how it’s possible to make a VR game that anybody cares about when it has to run on Quest.

People will say graphics don’t matter. Flat shaded polygons are fine yada yadda. I’m sorry but they do matter.

Is there’s an example of something I missed maybe? Is that Star Trek Quest game any good?

Why can't we get the 70 degrees Fov but on cheaper glasses without Android XR?

I want the 70 degrees Fov but I feel like it would be cheaper if I didn't have to pay for the phone part that's running Android XR.

Something like the Xreal 1 but 70 degrees Fov seems like it would be perfect.
