Found a used psvr 2 for $140

Is it worth that price if it is used? What should I watch out when buying used? Do Sony even keep releasing games to the psvr 2? I don’t remember I saw something for vr in their recent showcases but maybe I just don’t remember correctly…

Our VR tower defense series is currently on a big sale on PlayStation, also would love to know which cover art do you prefer?

We're a small indie team and both of our PSVR2 games are on sale right now

• IRON GUARD (50% off)
https://store.playstation.com/concept/10003472
• IRON GUARD: Salvation (30% off)
https://store.playstation.com/concept/10014836

One thing we've always debated internally is which artwork players would prefer, the darker, more grounded look of the original, or the brighter, more action-heavy style of Salvation.

Would love to know what everyone here thinks!

Hi all, it's been a while since I posted here. I'm almost done submitting Zero Caliber 2's store page, which means it should go live sometime next week, so y'all can wishlist it 🙌

If you don't know what Zero Caliber 2 is: it's our beefed up sequel to Zero Caliber VR, our OG military shooter (solo campaign, Co-op and PvP).
You can catch up with the story/find ZC1 here:
https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10015554

I'll keep y'all posted, thanks for all the support so far!

P.S: a Zero Caliber VR update should land later today/tomorrow, upgrading/fixing dedicated servers to make sure multiplayer works flawlessly.

Permanent Purple glare?

Recently noticed this purple glare that mostly doesn't go away. Visible on both eyes. Has anyone else seen this? Is it known from psvr2? Just wondering if a coating on the lenses wore out or something.

This is cool. It’s like Wii Baseball but in VR. It’s simple but I’m not a sports guy. It got a bad rep for being too easy, but it has like 12 (!) difficult settings & manual sliders. 🤷‍♂️ Single-player only though. Fun to bat & pitch! ⚾️

Bought a new psvr2 but it appears to be B-stock.

Hi guys,
I recently bought a PSVR2 from Joybuy for $330 on sale. It was advertised as brand new, but when it arrived, I noticed:
-One original seal sticker was broken.
-Both original seals had newer stickers layered over them.
-The box has some physical scuffs/wear (see pictures).

Aside from that, the rest of the packaging looks new or well-preserved.
I didn’t open to check the headset itself.

However, I'm mad that I seemingly received B-stock instead of a new item.

Joybuy has a 30-day return policy, but when I asked for a replacement, customer service dishonestly claimed it was too late because 16 days had passed.
They finally agreed to a replacement, but now I don't trust them.

My dilemma: I want to return it because I don’t’ trust them anymore, but I'm afraid I won't find another deal this cheap ($330)—especially since Sony seems to be phasing out the PSVR2 and stock might dry up.

Has anyone dealt with Joybuy replacements before? Should I risk the exchange or just get a refund and wait for another sale elsewhere ?

Thanks

this is one of the best games i have ever played and its seriously underrated

man this game had the unfortunate release timing of straddling psvr1 and psvr2, and i did not play the psvr1 version. yes the graphics are not stunning, but the are more than adequate, but oh boy does this game get so many things right.

manual reloading guns

great melee mechanics

decent mix of weapons

good mix of enemy types

3 really great modes all playable 4 player co-op

if i had a wish it would be for a cod zombies based round based mode with an rng mystery box and buyable perks and a gun upgrade akin to the pack a punch machine. (on the very off chance a dev reads this and they are still operating ; ) )

anyway. just buy the game if you like zombie shooters. i'm sure i'll get hundreds of hours out of it.

Do We Need More Curation or Vocal Leadership for Indie Games?

Hi all, it was definitely one of the highlights for our small indie team this past week, such a wonderful surprise and a honor to have been acknowledged by a legend like Shuhei Yoshida on X. 🙏

He's always been a champion of indie developers and smaller studios, which got me thinking:

Who else (past or currant) in the gaming industry has similar impact on supporting indies across any of the platforms?

Can executives even do that personally today without any issues? Or would it be helpful for players, especially given the current challenges facing gaming and VR?

It also made me think about the early days of Meta's VR store curation. It could take months to get approved, which was frustrating for many developers, but it also ensured a certain quality bar and helped shape first impressions for new VR users.

Today, do players mostly rely on reviews, creators, recommendations from friends, or would some platform curation help when choosing what to play? Is there value in having industry leaders champion great experiences that are not always AAA?

Cheers!

Long after beating the main story, I still love putting on 80’s/90’s music & trying to beat my scores (or compete with my pals) in Arcade Paradise. It makes me feel like a teen again being in 1993 😝

Thankfully it has leaderboards for every game… I just wish it had co-op so I could have a friend inside the arcade with me.

Delighted that Myles Dyer covered CleanSheet Soccer 2 on PS VR2 — here are the best bits from his stream

Myles Dyer covered the original CleanSheet Soccer, and he recently jumped into the sequel for a full livestream. He seemed really positive about the improvements, so we cut the hour-long stream down into some of our favourite moments.
