Learning about the lentil distinction was the last straw. I'm over it. The elitism is absolutely audacious! (Mostly just because I can't keep up with all the rules)
Anyway. Veggie shabu-shabu with shiitakes, enokis, bok choy, carrots, and udon. Homemade dashi.
I'm obsessed with this meal but still pissed at the French. Like, yeah, you have great soil that's soooo special. WE GET IT.
