Emerald Lake in forest fire smoke, British Columbia, Canada [OC] [3000x1688]
This is a beautiful location at the best of times. I took this photo while forest fires were burning nearby, and the smoke added a different feeling to the scene.
I loved the idea of being out in a canoe, surrounded by stillness.

Colour and black and white versions of the same image.
I wanted to emphasize the clouds in the black and white edit, but I’m not sure if I’ve overdone it. Does it still look natural, or would you pull it back a bit?
