ID needed — In a bog in Cattaraugus County, NY.

I’m usually very good at identifying my slime molds but this one has stumped me. This was on the border of a kettle bog and coniferous dominated forest. Most slime molds I see grow out of decaying logs — this one was spread out consuming sticks and leaf litter. It was large too, I’d say slightly bigger than the average adult hand but I didn’t measure any more than that.

(24F) 6 months after stopping hormonal birth control… everything sucks :(

Just wanted to write down my experiences here in hopes for advice.

I stopped taking my oral birth control in late December because I couldn’t get a refill, and stayed off it since I realized it was tired to other medical issues I’ve been having (chronic UTIs) so there’s no chance of me getting back on it. I’m not interested in having children so

Acne started around 2 months after being on it, and it’s just been getting worse. I’ve also gained 15 lbs and feel utterly horrible about it — I’ve never struggled with weight before. I’ve been missing periods, going about 2 months inbetween them, and when they do come the only last about 2 days. And my appetite is INSANE — I am ALWAYS hungry. My mood fluctuates so bad as well.

All sources I read say that these clusters of symptoms end around 3-6 months after you stop birth control, but they just keep getting worse for me. I don’t know what to do. I have an appointment with a gynecologist but it isn’t for another month.

Any advice is appreciated, and please share your experience too.. I feel so alone. Ugh.

Hey guys! I’m on a weekly dose for Humira. As you guys know, this needs to be refrigerated.
I’m in the US and will be visiting my friend in the UK — looking at a ~10-15 hr plane ride. How am I supposed to travel with this so I don’t miss a dose?
