Hi hope someone can give me advice. I’m in a dilemma. I applied to dentistry for 2026 entry and got 4/4 rejections pre interview. It’s now results day and I achieved AAA and gcses of 8889999
I applied to optometry as my 5th choice and got in as its a career that i wouldn’t mind having and have an interest for
However i do still want to at least try for dentistry so would it be worth it doing the UCAT with about 5 and a half weeks of prep from now, and still going to uni for optom. Only if i get a good competitive ucat score (arguable 2200+) then I’ll drop out to take the gap year and pursue dentistry for 2027 entry, otherwise i’ll remain in uni.
