Son’s first fish tank!
(Big rock is to hold wood down til its water logged.hahahaha) and I’ve placed a small flat rock and pushed sand away from the inlet to the filter. Can’t wait to get that boulder out and some fish in!
My son is turning 6 next month and has been asking for the past 3 years to get a tank of his own. I’ve been fish keeping for almost 5 years now and he has loved the few different setups I’ve had.
Of course I let him pick a couple ornaments and the blue rocks. He led every part of the design and I just plugged the plants in and helped shape the substrate and sand. Added some plants from my established tank and he picked a couple bulbs out from the store as well.

He’s not sure what fish/fishes he wants to put in there yet but I love the way his idea is coming together.
