Hi everyone I was just cleaning enameled cast iron dutch oven, and saw this chip in the bottom. I've accepted the pot is useless now, but im curious to understand how this happened. I've never used metal utensils on this, only wood and silicone. And ive always cleaned it with a sponge and a green scrubber for stuck on bits.

I braised a beef stew in this. I forgot I had the oven set to 200c which is too hot, but i don't think it would ruin this as you can use Dutch ovens to deep fry in. Any insight to this is greatly appreciated.
