White Buttero with a yellow Buttero inlay. Glued to a Horween Dublin backing. Didn't stitch it up since it's just a proof of concept, but still love how it looks!
Really happy to have this one done - partly because it's a semi-complicated build and also because I'm really happy with how it came out! The way the light hits the weave is a pleasure to capture with camera, and it's hard to find a bad angle.
Regarding construction for those curious, I always go back to a previous build tutorial for how I did this in the past (checkerboard weave instead of this diagonal weave). I don't do these frequently enough to remember it by muscle memory, so it's very helpful to go over this to remember.
Let me know if you have any questions below!

Hey there!
After a lot of trial and error getting this design right, these are now a joy to make. Very thankful to have made this one out of Mahogany Buttero throughout paired with ivory thread and a silver money clip. While there are a few stressful moments throughout, once it's all together you quickly forget about what could've happened and are glad with what did.
Thanks for taking the time to read!

SOLD 200 Shipped to CONUS - Horween Color #8 Shell Wallet - Purchase Link
Minimalist Wallet Info:
Been working on a new design and finally have it dialed. Made this with some fantastic Horween leathers. Lovely Color #8 Shell with lots of tannery wax and three different shades of Dublin leather - Natural (body panels); Nut Brown (top cardslot); English Tan (bottom cardslot).
Holding it all together is bronze thread. The hand-feel is incredible, and it's neat knowing all these leathers came from one of our best US-based tanneries, in Chicago.

Bifold Info:
Got my hand on some Horween shells and made this 6-slot bifold. Couldn't be happier with it and love the texture / color variation on the reverse side. So much so I decided to do the entire exterior in reverse shell, framing that famous Horween Stamp.
The interior is natural Buttero - really clean pieces - and will age beautifully for years to come.
Hey there!
It's always hard to make templates that offer the functionality you want and align with the design you're hoping to achieve. After making some modifications, mainly widening the portion around the money clip so, when the money clip's closed, it doesn't brush up against the inner part of the card slots, as well as adjusting the angle of the notch cutout to better fit the dimensions of the money clip, allowing the top to peek through, this design was ready. And this wallet's the validation that those design goals were met! Couldn't be happier, and this leather really puts those details into focus.
Red thread keeps straight stitching honest. Red leather makes the interior pop. And black Pueblo leather on the exterior gives a great canvas for this wallet to age with its owner. Can't wait to see how it looks in a few years!
Thanks for taking time to read and, as always, for the continued support!
