Given the nature of MBA and how it replaces parts of his body and such turning him into electricity and progressing him to have control over all electrical phenomena, is this not literally just replacing his body with cursed energy turning him into a curse when his original body is gone? He’s even shown to regrow an arm without the use of RCT, this was shown to be a curse exclusive ability. My personal head-canon is that however Kashimo figured out what his technique is, the person who told him saw becoming a curse as death, and so they told him that he would die.
