What if the Blame! anime was 80% Killy walking through the megastructure in near silence?
I don't want a fast-paced action adaptation. I want an anime that treats Tsutomu Nihei's architecture as the main character.
Picture this: Killy walking for minutes at a time through impossible, endless structures. Almost no dialogue. No constant music. Just distant machinery and the crushing sense of scale that makes every panel in the manga.
Action should be fast, brutal, and chaotic like the manga, then recede just as abruptly, leaving the structure to reclaim the screen for some time.
Long stretches of stillness, short bursts of violence. That rhythm is what BLAME! is to me.
The 2017 film was good, but it had to compress a lot. I want an adaptation that lets the megastructure breathe, where you feel the loneliness and the distance in real time.
Who else would take a slow, silent, architecture-first Blame! over a standard action adaptation?
