Falsification of r\R as a language discriminant
Long story short, Sproat argued that repetition ratio of geminated to all repeats can determine if a symbol system is linguistic or not.
I show that his discriminant of 0.1 is basically a check for length >= 20 and has no predictive power beyond the length itself and the discriminant's Youden J = 0, ie no better than chance.
