As I’ve feared, crystal broke after slowly trying to push out. Found this DW-5600C (901) module with intact strap, was planning to do some cleaning again but this time, the crystal broke 😂😩.
Anyone wants the case? Buttons? The module works, just need to replace the polarizer. I’ll be using the bezel screws on my extra.
I've been on the hunt for a DW-1000-1 (metal bracelet and different crystal) which I found one for $200 in great condition.
I just got it today and the first thing I did was to disassemble the whole watch for cleaning. Initially, it looked good once I got it, but I knew the dirt buildup is there so I had to disassemble it.
This was the bezel and the bracelet removal. The bracelet was sized 7". I needed a bit more wiggle room so I had to fit my extra bracelet extender on it.
Buttons, washers and gaskets removed.
Crystal and crystal gasket removed. This has been always the scariest part for me.
Ultrasonic cleaning time! I placed the buttons, springs, washers and rubber button gaskets inside a container. The crystal, crystal gasket and the bezel had to be manually cleaned. (don't include the crystal inside the ultrasonic machine, you might end up peeling the decal behind the crystal)
After that, I had to polish the buttons, lubricate the button stems and the gaskets as well as the button holes on the case.
I've lost a number of c-clips, washers and gaskets before getting the hang of how to disassemble and re-assemble these. Always take caution when doing so.

Assembly time! did some light polishing on the crystal (80,000 grit diamond paste on a rotary tool) before final assembly. I now have one for my personal collection 😭
