ill be joining a BTech college soon(probably lol), so im looking for a good laptop around 70k i mainly need it for coding,engineering projects, AI/ML stuff, multitasking, and some normal video editing or content creation stuffs. im not really into gaming.

I want something that: performs well for long coding sessions has good battery life won't heat up too much and can easily last me for years what specifications should I focus on and which laptops would you genuinely recommend?

are rough sheets provided in the exam hall or do we have to manage rough work only on the question paper?

for maths and physics i usually need a lil bit of extra space, so im a bit worried about that. i heard some people say they carried extra xerox copies of their admit card and used the blank side for rough work. Is that actually allowed or does it depend on the invigilator or center?
