It’s been about a week since I bought my first gaming laptop, an MSI Katana 15 HX with an i7-14650HX and RTX 5070.

I’m interested in undervolting CPU, and possibly the GPU as well, mainly to achieve lower temperatures, better stability, and potentially better performance.

However, I don’t really know how to properly do this using ThrottleStop. If anyone has the same laptop and has successfully undervolted it, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your settings and explain how you did it.

If it’s difficult to find someone with the exact same laptop, would it be safe/effective to use undervolt settings from another laptop with the same i7-14650HX? Or can the required settings vary significantly between different laptops?

Hello. I recently purchased an MSI Katana 15 HX (i7-14650HX, RTX 5070 8GB, 15.6" QHD 165Hz, 1TB NVMe) for €1,250. Since this is my first gaming laptop, I would like some advice on how to maintain it: 1) Would a simple stand to elevate the laptop help with cooling, or should I buy a dedicated cooling pad? (Honestly, I’m not very familiar with them.) 2) What are the appropriate power settings for the GPU and CPU? (For example, can I set the CPU to 99% while plugged in?) Also, regarding the MSI Center, should I use the AI Engine mode and MUX Switch for gaming, or is it better to select "Extreme Performance" and "dGPU" mode? 3) How can I monitor component temperatures? What is the acceptable temperature range, and at what point should I take action?
