hey guys!

so i’ve heard that students who apply ed 1 has the highest chance of getting in cus it shows commitment. but since it’s the first round , won’t they look for students with the best applications. my overall marks in my final year is 80% which is way below their standards. so if i apply ed 1 , do i have a higher chance of getting rejected than ed 2? my ecs are way better compared to my grades and there’s context behind it.

i’m planning to attempt sat in oct, right before ed 1 so that results come out before ed 1. shud i go for ed 1 or ed 2

i’ve been pretty active on this sub for a while now.

i graduated 12th with 77.8%

wrote an improvement exam and got 79.8 which is one mark away from 80 so il give it for reevaluation and make it to an 80.

i’ve been doing shit tons of extracurriculars and everything cus nyuad is my dream uni

i took a gap year to build my portfolio and everything

i was preparing for SATs when the improvement results came out and i’m just really nervous now

i worked really hard for maths and scored just 79 , that’s A2 positional grade

as in , in comparison to all the other scores of ppl who wrote maths , it’s pretty good , it’s on the higher side as the paper was hard

but nyuad is not gna look at that

no matter of extracurriculars wud ever make them choose me with 80% over someone with 95

and no matter how many essay topics i have , i just can’t seem to write a good one

i talk with a college consultant the other day and they bluntly told me that my grades just aren’t enough for nyuad or aus or khalifa or any other colleges that i had in mind.

i took a gap year so i can’t not get into a good uni

and to make matters worse , i neee financial aid

the most my parents can pay is 5-10 lakh for tution and accommodation.

i wanna do a cs major with music minor

do yall have any college recs?

i scored 94.2 in 10th and i was pretty strong in academics

i just got diagnosed with severe depression at the start of 12th so my grades went downhill.

i can’t believe i spent all my life performing well academically just for a year of depression to mess it up.

everyone says that nyuad has a holistic review and that grades aren’t all that matters but would they really accept me with these stats?

with my sickness and this years cbse’s deflation in the marks caused it to be this low.

i had checked all my photocopies and i was fully ready. i had typed out all questions and reasons for reevaluation but then the site refreshed after like 3 hours of work and i had to start from scratch again. but when i was done and tried to the do the payment, the site glitched and the deadline was over.

hey guys

so i scored 77.8 % in 12th boards and cudnt apply for reevaluation. i’m writing maths improvement exam next month. as per cbse policy, only one sub is allowed for improvement. if i cudve written 2 or 3, id easily cross the 90 mark and this is so disappointing. i scored 94.2 in 10th. 88 in 11th. i’ve never been academically weak. but during the start of 12th i got diagnosed with severe depression and was on medication and so my grades just went downhill. i wanna get into nyuad which has like a 3-5% acceptance rate and rn my grades are my biggest disadvantage. if i had a chance to rewrite atleast 2 subjects, id lock in rn and do my best , even if it meant i don’t have much time for prep, even if i had to write both the exams on the same day, id still do it cus im positive my board score doesn’t reflect my usual academic performance and that if given a second chance, i’d do well.
