The series follows a decade-spanning romance between the two men, which started when Ryu Narutaki, a Japanese expatriate, encounters Johan Hwang, a boxer, who rescues him from a fire in a foreign country. They find themselves drawn to each other but as they grow closer, their bond is tested by time, distance, and fate.
