RANT: I have a BTS concert to attend to this week...
I bought tickets for the BTS concert that's happening this week, and I've always been a huge fan of them for a decade. Now that the date is approaching, I'm having second thoughts.
Ever since two of the members took pictures with Chris Brown, a known abuser/woman beater, just thinking about going leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
On one hand I've always wanted to see them perform for the longest time, I was a crazy fangirl since middle school and letting that huge part of myself go kind of hurts, no matter how dramatic that sounds. As time went on however, I started becoming a casual listener, I was not really up to date with them on anything, because, I have a life now. But when I saw that they were hosting a world tour, i jumped right back on the bandwagon and listened to every one of their songs. On the other hand, going to a concert of someone who willingly associates themselves with a woman beater just does not feel right at all (specifically those two members since they would preach about female empowerment), especially since I am a woman myself and it pains me to see other women is that position.
My dad already booked the flight and hotel and bought the tickets for me, so even the financial burden of it makes me feel obviously guilty for wanting to resell tickets. I just want to clarify that I am awfully grateful for my dad for supporting me financially for this to even happen, I am not some ungrateful brat that's willing to throw all his efforts away so carelessly (saying this because I made the same exact post on another subreddit, and I got called irrational and sensitive).
I know this post is giving champagne problems, but it's been consuming me for the past few days I was so hyped for this man
