bronze vase alternatives?

I work at a funeral home with a small attached cemetery. The cemetery is as old as the business starting in the 60s. Most of the lawn plots have bronze vase circular markers, the ones with the flower vases you can pull up and place upright for flowers and then turn them upside and slide back into the ground.

The age and just the fact they are bronze means many of them are stolen, damaged and missing. The empty holes fill with dirt, leaves and trash. I currently cant get the owner to replace missing vases unless a family complains, so I am looking for an alternative vase or something else just to cover the hole. I want to stop debris from building up in these empty holes or offer a cheaper alternative to temporarily fill the hole until a family requests a new one. It just looks terrible to have open holes in the ground!!

Solution for Bronze vases leaving huge holes?

I work at a funeral home with a cemetery that uses bronze flower vases as markers. The ones where you can flip them upside down into the ground to make lawn mowing easier. As is the case with many cemeteries, many of the vases are missing, leaving huge holes in the ground that gather leaves and trash. (Picture for an example, not from my cemetery.)

Out right replacing the vases is not an option, does anyone have any solutions for alternative vases or some sort of hole covering that will prevent the holes from gathering trash and debris? Even something makeshift until a family wants a replacement vase or provides their own.
