Unfortunately, I think the exposure of abuse by David and Tim will make them all worse.

Their church and fundie community members who are closer to reason and have been loosely tolerating them will shun them, making them feel persecuted.

The more extreme folks around them, those who will openly endorse physical abuse, will embrace them. They will lean harder into the extreme beliefs.

I’m so glad to see Heidi’s family taking no crap and getting her out of there. I’m happy for sunlight on DV in fundie families because ultimately it will be cleansing. But as for most of the Rods themselves, the worst of the wagons will circle around them. Tim will be hated further from both families and the public, and not do well.

This is my sad prediction.
