Probiotics are legit!

I kept reading on here about yogurt, kefir, l reuteri, etc and I had a hard time believing it would do anything. I eat Greek yogurt almost every day, and I can’t really say it’s helped, but I didn’t measure before starting. I’ve always had high-normal loads.

A while back i decided to try kombucha for health benefits. Picked out a few, and while it tastes great I didn’t really notice any changes…until I tried one that was glass-bottled/all organic/unpasteurized. Two bottles on consecutive days and my nuts felt heavier, looked plump, and when I unloaded it just kept flowing! Of course I wasn’t expecting it so didn’t measure, but it was certainly a 7ish ml load. This sent me down the research rabbit hole. Turns out probiotics are well known in animal models and newer fertility studies for improving pretty much every single semen and sperm parameter. Further, there’s a direct link between higher gut microflora diversity, lower inflammatory markers (those affect testicles) and increased disease resistance. Holy shit. Of course I went back and bought 5 more (500ml) bottles to repeat and measure, and yeah, loads went from 4.5 mls to 6.4! Extra ropes, much thinner/more clear than normal. The effect wears off the day after I stop though, so I didn’t know if it was a nutrient in it or the probiotics causing the change. It did give me the shits on day four, not severe, but enough to stop. I should have tried a lower dose.

Next up was home made organic sourdough bread. While it’s delicious, does not seem to cause fat gain, and helps the guts, it didn’t do anything to my loads.

Finally I picked up some kefir. As I have yet to locate anything with l reuteri in store (and I don’t buy supplements online), I decided to go with a locally made brand, figuring there would be less storage time. First load after two days of consumption was massive! just like the big kombucha load. Big ropes and volume but mostly clear. However, it seems I can consume it daily (in smaller amounts, I learned my lesson) and not have any GI distress. I don’t have the dramatic heavy balls feeling either. Loads stayed big (6.2-6.7mls regardless of abstinence), but wanting better color and texture I decided to eat eggs every day for lecithin. The last load I shot was huge, white, thick, and super sticky. I didn’t measure (I usually don’t until on a supplement for two weeks), but it was enough to cover a face easily. Not much for distance, but I know I need to work on my kegels more regularly if I want to launch glue.

Lysine tanked my libido

Started taking lysine for texture, wanted to make super thick sticky creampies. It worked, best at 500mg, too thick at 1000mg. I took it for 6 weeks and while I was happy with the texture change, I eventually noticed my libido dropping. To the point I was happy with sex once a day on vacation, when I could have had it 3-4x a day. At home it dropped even further to only wanting it a couple times a week and very little morning wood. Realized something was up so i looked back at my supplement log, dropped it for 3 days, libido came roaring back. Just to be sure I restarted it for a week, same thing happened. Stopped it (permanently this time) and again, back to normal after a few days off.

I’ve always been on the side of testing one supplement at a time and keeping track of results, and again this proved it’s worth the effort. It was a slow change the first time around that I might not have noticed until damage was done.

Supplements are not a freebie, they have real health consequences.
