Weird question but when online, can you tell when someone is pretending to be your nationality when commenting? What are the red flags?

For me it would be knowing too much about NYC or New Jersey, more so than life on the island. Also, a more recent sign: The only aspect of the culture they know is modern reggaeton and knowing nothing about our older artists. There are a couple of more but it's too much.

Why does it seem like many USians online have a strong beef/obsession with Argentina during this World Cup?

I know very little about football but I always assumed Argentina's rivals are England and Brazil right? All I've seen on social media(i.e X, YouTube, Insta, Reddit) is Americans hatejerking Argentina's team and calling it overrated and how they wish Mexico or an African nation beats them. Where does this rivalry come from?

Why does it seem like the Anglosphere admires/fixates over British culture so much while Latin America doesn't seem to care much about Spain or Portugal?

Why do you think such a difference exist?
