Fasting window

My NP keeps suggesting 6-8 hr fasting window with a preference of 6 hrs. I barely get any sleep during night and she keeps insisting for 6 hrs “since it’s more accurate”. But from the same office, everyone else keeps suggesting 8-10 hours.

I have also tried everything for my bedtime snack, including the snack she suggested (Barebells protein bar: which did bring some numbers down but never in the range). I looked up in this subreddit and saw people recommending yasso frozen greek yogurt bar. I tried it and only that has given me values under 95 for fasting after trying so many things, I also sometimes add 10 almonds with it. However, when I brought this up, my NP didn’t seem to like it and seemed unhappy about it.

Anyone else’s office suggests 6 hour fasting window over 8 hrs?
I also sometimes just check the time when I wake up and log it in my Dexcom CGM app, but sometimes I go back to sleep for few more minutes or an hour. When I brought this up, she again mentioned just stick to 6 hours without listening to my concerns.

Any similar experiences or suggestions would be really helpful. 🙏

Disheartened

Im 30+5 weeks pregnant. I was diagnosed with GD at my 30 weeks and have been monitoring my glucose 4x a day since 5 days. The numbers have been spiking regardless of what I do. I changed my diet, reduced my carbs, increased my protein, going for walks post meal but still. Here and there my numbers are in the range. But if I try the same food again, I don’t get the same numbers. Im so disheartened and sad that I feel helpless. I had A1C of 5.8 before pregnancy, so I wish my provider had tested me for GD sooner.
For ex: for my breakfast I have been having fairlife protein milk and a whole wheat bread with peanut butter on it. The numbers didn’t help, so I got Dave’s killer bread. I tried the same thing: 1 slice of Dave’s killer bread with peanut butter and 5 small pieces of banana on it + fairlife protein (Im always having protein first), my reading was 112. I tried same thing today, my reading was 139.
Im so lost. No matter what I eat or do my numbers aren’t doing any better, even if I follow same food if it gave me good reading. Im feeling so lost and a failure. I don’t know what to do.

I see posts where many are able to control their post meal numbers at the least, and Im unable to even do that.

Feeling low after failing my 1hr

Im 35, FTM, 28+6 weeks. I have been feeling horrible since I got 181 for my 1hr test results and also found out I’m anemic. I feel so guilty. I have not been able to follow a healthy diet or regular exercise due to my very hectic and demanding work schedule. I feel like I’ve failed the baby. I need to schedule my 3hr test but I am just stuck in this negative state.
Has anyone passed 3hr test with such results? I don’t want to change my diet just to manipulate the 3hr test but feeling very low.
I don’t know what Im looking for, but just feeling very stressed and emotional with this.
