KitchenAid Dishwasher - KDTS624SPS - Brand New from Costco - not cleaning properly/ at all!

Got this baby brand new in June from Costco direct. I replaced a 15 year old Whirlpool, which was making sounds and also reached 55-60dB, so loud that we could not hear TV sound.

When it comes to loading the dishwashers, we are notorious about pre-rinsing the dishes, pots, pans to a level you can't tell if it was clean or dirty. BUT, if we happen to be lazy and keep a coffee mug without taking off all the stains, or some knifes we forgot to rinse-off the nutella, after the overnight cycle, the coffee mug still has the residue, the nutella traces could still be seen.

What am I doing wrong? If I do not do the pre-rinsing, I am not sure if the dishes will come out mostly dirty? I haven't had chance to try that, may be one of the weekend days, I am going to try that.

Is this model so bad that it can't wash the dishes to a level 15 year old Whirlpool was able to do?

I have seen "Technology Connections" YouTube video where he says any decent dishwashers are so well in cleaning dishes that even if you take the large food items off the plates and leave it in the dishwasher, it's still supposed to clean it all, but I am seeing the exact opposite.

Am I doing something wrong in pre-rinsing the dishes, pots? Or what else I could be doing wrong? It almost looks like the dishwashing tablet that I am keeping in the soap compartment, even if its being consumed, its actually not being used for cleaning. I use "Kirkland brand" dishwasher tabs from Costco.

Please help me out guys! Thank you!

P.S. - I have already raised a KitchenAid warranty ticket for this.

Mimosa/Chamberbitter weed everywhere

I have this weed every where in my garden beds. I didnt mulch at all, that probably is the reason. I am in US zone 8a/b. What can I do in the fall/next spring to prevent these weeds in the next year? I imagine these seeds are already everywhere laying the foundation for the next year. I dont use chemical herbicides in my organic veggie garden.
