Huge wake windows-6weeks old
Anyone else's 6 week old literally just not sleep during the day??
Mine can stay awake 7-8 HOURS and before anyone says wake windows I know 😭 I'm trying to put him to sleep, he just won't fucking sleep.
Today he's slept maybe 2 hours total since 8am. I've spent basically the whole day trying to get him down. Boob, formula bottle, rocking, shushing, swaddle, dummy, dark room, white noise, holding him, walking around. He'll sometimes fall asleep for like 10-20 mins then his eyes are open again. He even wakes up while I'm still holding him so it's not just transferring him that's the problem.
He has reflux and is on omeprazole which has actually helped heaps so I don't even know anymore.
He sleeps overnight but honestly I feel like that's probably because he's absolutely wrecked after being awake basically all day 😂
Has anyone actually had a newborn stay awake for 7-8 hours like this?? Not just fighting naps for an hour or having short naps, I mean literally HOURS and HOURS despite trying to get them to sleep.
Did you ever figure out why? Did you see a paediatrician about it? I'm at the point where I'm wondering if this is actually normal because I'm losing my fucking mind trying to make this kid sleep 😭
