I guess I’m not allowed towels anymore

In the latest news update tonight my mom now believes that I’m hoarding every single towel in my room somewhere and I’m the sole reason why the towels are disappearing.. I told her that I didn’t have any and I was just as confused as she was and she said bullshit and then banned me from ever using a towel again and “I’m on my own now”? Oh and also she’s gonna buy towels for herself and my 20 year old brother who still lives at home without a job but she’s going to make sure I will NOT be allowed to use them (obviously, jeez)

I am 17 almost 18F, me and my mom get into arguments a lot. It’s always about the weirdest things. Whenever she gets mad, she’ll shut herself out. I try and ask her to just talk to me and she’ll say things like “I don’t wanna talk to you right now” or she’ll make up elaborate stuff like for example today she said I was being rude and demanding because I was a little frustrated and upset that we ordered the wrong attachment plate for my tripod. She also said I had been yelling at her all day. For reference I’d been at school all day, took two very large tests and am also preparing for state testing. So yes I was pretty annoyed, but I still hadn’t yelled at her. She will do stuff for me immediately after which is weird, like today she got out of the bath she had just ran for herself and gotten into and said “just have it” because I mentioned I needed to shower sometime tonight. She’ll sometimes start mumbling stuff, I’ll ask her if she said something and then she will then go silent and lock herself in her bedroom for the rest of the day and the night. I don’t speak to my dad so when she does this it makes me really sad because it makes me feel all alone and like nobody cares about me. This happens so often. Is this normal for a parent to do? Please let me know because this is happening too much. I’m so confused and sometimes all I want is my mom and she’ll act like she hates me.
