We are seeking a talented and dedicated scriptwriter to join our team, focusing on crafting compelling and meticulously researched scripts for our YouTube channel. Our content explores hip-hop culture, true crime cases, and biographical documentaries, with a strong emphasis on presenting accurate and well-verified information.

You will play a critical role in ensuring our scripts are not only engaging but also factually correct, as credibility is the foundation of our storytelling.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on hip-hop cases often related to true crime, and biographical topics.
• Verify all gathered information, distinguishing between fact and speculation, with an emphasis on accuracy and authenticity.
• Source materials, including news articles, videos, legal documents, interviews, and court records, to support the narratives.
• Present research findings in a clear, concise, and engaging script format (approximately 3,000 words per script, plan to increase to 5000 words in the future).
• Collaborate with the team to align scripts with the channel’s tone and style.
• Revise drafts based on feedback and ensure timely delivery of high-quality scripts.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in writing high-quality, long-form content (preferably for YouTube and on true crime/hip hop channels).
• A sharp eye for details, capable of critically assessing and verifying facts.
• Strong research skills, including the ability to use advanced search tools, such as Twitter Advanced Search and Reddit. (include the word "READ" in your application to make sure you have read everything)
• Familiarity with hip-hop culture, true crime, and documentary storytelling is a major plus.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to write in a style accessible to a young audience.
• A proactive and dedicated approach to work, able to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.

Compensation:

• $210 per script (3,000 words, $0.07 per word)
