I made a list of App Store apps rated under 3 stars with 30+ reviews

all these apps are rate 0-3 stars and at least have 30 rate counts.

I believe some of them are quite old and were built for a version of the world that doesn't exist anymore, but probably still be interesting to browse if you are looking for inspiration on what to build.

Is it common to ask strangers on LinkedIn for job referrals?

I'm looking for remote work and I have been applying for the last few month and have gotten zero interviews. A friend suggested I reach out to people on LinkedIn, since that can sometimes lead to a referral. I've tried it, but nobody responds.

So now I'm wondering: are people actually willing to chat with a stranger online and refer them? I know some companies offer a small bonus for a successful referral hire, but I don't know how common it is for someone to say yes. If it does work for people, then maybe I've just been reaching out to the wrong folks and I should probably keep trying.

I also tried searching for a platform where you could find employees at a company who are open to giving referrals, so you could message someone who's actually willing, instead of cold messaging random people and bothering them. Does a site like that exist?

Actually, I'm also asking partly to gauge interest, I've been thinking about building a platform like this if it doesn't already exist. But that raises the real question: would enough people actually sign up as willing to refer? Because if not, it's like building a dating app that's 95% guys and 5% women and it doesn't work for anyone.

Free extension to export reddit post including all comments, medias

Most tools I found don't save the comments. The ones that do usually cost money. So I just built my own.

It's a Chrome extension called SavePost. It's free and runs straight in your browser, no sign up, no 3rd party service, nothing sent anywhere.

What you can do with it:

  • Save the post, all the comments, and any images/videos
  • Get it as a PDF, or copy it as HTML or Markdown (works with Notion and most note apps)
  • Let it run in the background: big threads can take a huge time, but you can hide the extension window and leave it running background.

Coming soon:

I'm planning to add Twitter/X, Instagram, and more.

Give it a try here:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/savepost/hplljinflabpkfodjkkpdgkggfojchfc

Let me know if anything breaks or if you have ideas. Always happy to hear feedback.
