Unbiased fan: I dont see any problem w the Thunder

Hi, I come in peace as a life-long raptors fan. I was watching game 2 against the lakers, and after seeing the uproar from the NBA community about the officiating, I thought I'd share my opinion on why I think the lakers are the issue, not the thunder.

The lakers by FAR have had the better whistle throughout the regular season. When I recall games of the raptors vs lakers, it is always the lakers that get the easy calls and get away with them every time. The raptors haven't beaten the Lakers in ages, and it's literally because the lakers get so many freaking calls and the best whistle in the league.

Off the top of my head, there was a game from a few seasons ago where Scottie Barnes, one of the most prolific drivers in the league (drives almost as much as SGA i think) got literally ZERO calls against the Lakers. Meanwhile LeBron and friends are getting fouled every freaking possession and getting so many free throws. This is why there's that famous video of our coach Darko crashing out on the refs for favouring the Lakers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIAIyxwymy4

On the flip-side, games where its the raptors vs thunder are a completely different story. Yes, while i think you guys do have a good whistle, it is certainly not as egregious as the Lakers. I remember raps and thunder had a few good games this season and I think the raps managed to win 1 so thats nice. But point is, the raptors community is not crashing out every time we play you guys. We crash out at the Lakers.

As a non lakers and non thunder neutral fan, what I am trying to say is that the reason why all these lakers fans are crashing out after game 2 is because they are finally getting balanced and fair officiating as opposed to being favoured throughout the regular season. They are finally getting a taste of how it feels like to be a normal non-big name team, for instance the raptors. Lakers have been so used to being called for every little thing that they are extremely reactionary to being officiated normally.

Although game 2 had like 1-2 sus calls (particularly the charge against Caruso by lebron, i think that wasn't an offensive foul), the Thunder are clearly the better team, and I literally don't see any problem with the officiating so far in this series.

Lakers are just not good enough. simple as that

Lmk ur thoughts
