Rules about relationship in INC
Wanted to rant about my girlfriend lang and ask about this relationship rule in INC. I just hate INC's rules about not allowing couples of other religions to be in relationship with each other or married with each other. What's the point of this? like shouldn't you be more inclined as a church to let your members be in a relationship or be married with someone out of your religion to gather the lost sheep? They're treating outer-religion marriage as if it was the end of the world and you'll immediately get sent hell to it. I mean if you have a god who prohibits you from loving someone outside sa religion mo, wouldn't it be evil in the first place? They've always been taught that their god is good, but I don't think this is an act of kindness, its an act of exclusivity. "Love your enemies as you love yourself" is the ultimate definition of love, It is so genuinely convenient to love your family and friends, but it becomes harder to love your enemies. I mean at this point I'm not even her enemy, ibang relihiyon lang talaga but still you get the point. Their point of not being able to marry or love someone outside sa religion doesn't really add up kasi once again if you love just because he or she is in your inner circle, that doesn't mean its really love na diba? That's just love out of convenience.
So can any ex iglesia ni cristo members PLEASE tell me why they believe this and PLEASE do not tell me just because its in the doctrines. I am a catholic but even our catholic priests push us to understand everything by context with the help of the Holy Spirit and not say the "its because its in the doctrines" card.
So yan lang question ko. genuine question lang. I am so sorry for venting out this bad, I'm so in love with my girlfriend and I really want to marry her pero I believe this CULT is stopping us from progressing us further and I'm forever blaming this cult of an institution for their actions I hope they get what they deserve.
