Help!!! Screwed up scribe
I’m doing some false beams in my house and screwed up this cut/ scribe, can I use a wood filler (pine as that’s what they’re made out of) and spot stain?? Or am I skuppered?

Greetings! Started a refinish in our 1900’s farm house and wondering what the best route forward would be.
Looks to be a pine or spruce but is also the subfloor after looking into it further.
Rented a drum sander to strip finish which worked alright but the floor is so uneven that we ended up hand sanding the majority of the spots to fully get rid of the finish. Was tough though as we are doing our best to not sand too much as it’s a softwood.
Wondering what the best step forward is, drum sander goes back but was wondering if it’s worth it to rent a big orbital or screen sander to sand the rest, was going to do 80 then 120. Not sure if anyone’s done something with uneven farm house floors and has any tips or advice.
The hope is to stain it to MinWax “provincial” then either a water based or oil based finish to protect all our work ( 3 or 4 coats is the general consensus from what I’m seeing)
Any thought are much appreciated!
