Redwing Engineers 2966 7 months aging

Hi! these are my redwing engineer boots i worked so hard for to get to El Salvador. They are also my first pair of redwing boots, i’ve worn these relentlessly for someone who doesn’t really do blue collar work. In high school, in the office, camping trips, several nights out, traveling out of country (which explains the patina on the heel because of all the rubbing i accidentally do on it while sitting in airplanes).

Point is, i’ve loved these relentlessly, i love how it’s daring and the tough hardware, they certainly took a while to break in, i’m not even kidding i estimate at least 100 miles walked in them until they felt semi soft(and these are still pretty tough). I used to have a huge heel slip at the start, but that didn’t stop me, i really wanted to tame this boot.

My only complaint with the boot really is that it uses a plastic-resin-something heel stack, and for the price i paid (plus shipping) it was kind of disappointing to see so ma h people hating on it online after i got them LOL.

As for care of the boot, i’ve had these professionally conditioned once, and i’ve conditioned them 3 times at home as far as i can remember.

Thank you for reading! -Nick
