Milky Way over a wind farm [Wasco, OR]

Couldn't sleep the other night. Ended up making an hour drive out east to some dark skies outside of Wasco.

Relieved, excited, and with some underlying anxiety rolled all in to one.

We have been seriously looking in our smaller town for six months, and it was depressing. Very few properties available and those that were both extremely dated and in need of work - all while being ridiculously overpriced. Those that did pop up would go into bidding wars. We had started considering moving closer to Portland, but hated the thought of being a half hour plus from our friends, fav restaurants, etc.

This place came on the market, and I thought "no way". It was the top of our budget, and with it being a newer build that was right in town with an incredible view there was no way the competition wasn't going to be fierce. Toured it and knew. We shot our shot, and even with two very busy open houses our offer was the only one.

Ended up coming a little under asking, and we only moved two minutes from our rental which all was icing on the cake. Can't wait to get this move done and begin to settle in.

Edit: For those commenting - While it isn't the largest place, the first photo makes it look tiny. The house is far longer than it is wide.
