I’ve been thinking about the need for chants and songs. Now is the time given the team has done its part, it’s our turn. I humbly submit this. I imagine it like English Football style of club songs. It should be sung with a strong marching feel:

Verse 1
Gold and blue, we march as one,
Utah Royals, never done,
Through the storm and through the fight,
Standing strong in Royal light.

Verse 2
Fans and players side by side,
Royal hearts and Royal pride,
Never bend and never break,
For Utah’s crown we’ll never shake.

This could easily be put up on the screen at the beginning of matches and after goals. Or we sing it at specific times in the match.

In light of LaCasse’s song that was posted in here, may I humbly offer the following chant song for our captain:

Ohhhh, Paige Cronin!
Running down the wing!
Ohhhh, Paige Cronin!
Hear the Royals sing!

To the tune of Seven Nation Army. Simple, and easy to be loud!

This is amazing. We sit in second behind Portland. Anyone looking forward to the game in Portland May 30?

RANT This commentator has the voice equivalent of a punchable face. He feels the need to fill every second and I don’t think he has any knowledge of football. Feels like he is being fed things to say. Ok, rant over.

It’s time to tell the whole valley how good this team is playing. The players and coaches are winning! They are doing their part. Now it’s your turn to spend the money to get people to show up. The product is in the pitch. Don’t let this moment go by. With more people coming and cheering, it will reinforce the players’ and coaches’ efforts. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime. Don’t miss it.
