I own a 2019 Infiniti QX50. The engine started making a strange noise, so I took it to the dealership, where they told me the engine needed to be replaced. This is absolutely not an option for me, as the car is already out of warranty. Upon researching online, I discovered that all vehicles in this series—from model years 2019 through 2022—were released with a manufacturing defect, and the government has issued a safety recall. However, the dealership refused to honor the recall, they claimed that I had been negligent regarding oil changes and had ruined the engine myself—a claim that is absolutely absurd. Has anyone else here experienced this problem? At this point, I no longer know what to do.
