I think I won the heir competition
R5: Recently I noticed that both Sayyid and Golden Lineage traits are transferred only through male descendants, so it is impossible to to "marry" them into one character of my Dynasty, which greatly annoyed me. So, I decided to start a run dedicated solely to collect all imaginable inheritable traits, especialy the aforementioned two. Went from being (Norse) french vassal, conquering Persia, becoming Adventurer, then Nomad and Greatest Khan, conquering Byzantine lands. For some reason Byzantines really sucked this time, even briefly becoming part of HRE before my Mongols came. Other traits are nice bonuses collected along the way, tho I am unsure why my children still have Way of the Nomad trait, if the Khanate was reformed way before they were born. And also becoming Blademaster is now suprisingly easy if you have Blademaster Acolade.
Fun fact, when I restored the Roman Empire, it didn't completely destroy the already reformed Khaganate Hegemony, but pushed it to be De Jure of only two Empire titles far East. So now there are three Hegemonies on the map.
So, I remember that there was at least one event, which allow to pass your stress-coping traits to your wards (alternative choice was to get rid of bad traits by yourself in exchange for stress), but recently I stopped seeing this event. Definitelly not even once in 1.19, but I also don't quite remember having it in 1.18. I just wanted to check if I'm unlucky, or you stopped encountering this event too. Or maybe it is tied to some specific condtions, which are hard to reproduce?
So, the latest update. Made every education trait line to have Domain Limit, but removed them from Stewardship. While I do understand the intent, I believe the implementaion is just bad, and in consequence the Martial line is the only one that matters.
Intrigue gives Agent acceotance and Scheme potential, but because schemes now relay heavily on recruited agents, it doesn't really matter.
Diplomacy gives +25 vassalization acceptance, but having in mind that there are multiple personality traits that lower it by 20 each, so the Diplomacy actuall usefulness is negligible. And warscore from hostages? Considering how incredibly faster Martial rulers can finish wars, this does nothing.
Stewardship increases... just taxes. That is honestly an awful deal, because your vassals won't have any money to actually develop their domains, especially if combined with increases from other perks. And by late game you'll be swimming in money anyways.
Learning is somewhat good, as it gives development, but ony 0.1? Doesn't seem like much either.
And then we have Martial. 50% better siege weapons. 20% faster army movement. Gaining Commander traits. And even separate line of Prowess-related traits available only for children that have Martial focus (after you have Knighood).
Earlier you would at least consider Stewardship exactly because of the Domain Limit, but now? The advantages of Martial lifestyle are so big that it easily declasses all other lines. And I don't mean for minmaxing, but every average player after a few games will notice that Martial just leads to better results and others aren't worth trying. I feel like all other lines would have to get significantly boosted to match it
